★ Karambit | Stained in Field-Tested (FT): a CS2 karambit with a cloudy patina on the blade, a finish from the earliest CS:GO cases. Covert rank, with the ★ mark. It drops from eleven cases, from the CS:GO Weapon Case to the Revolver Case. The finish has five wears, the float runs from 0.00 to 1.00, and this wear of the ★ Karambit | Stained is assigned the float band from 0.15 to 0.38.
What the ★ Karambit | Stained looks like in Field-Tested
The tiger-claw blade is light, almost white, with pale blue cloudy blotches. The finger ring is silvery blue, with the same marbled smear. The handle is ribbed and dark, a gray olive, and a small red dot is noticeable where the blade meets the handle. According to Valve's text, the patina on the karambit was made artificially, by dripping lemon and mustard over the metal.
The degree of wear is set at drop. In Field-Tested it is already there, and the curved point and the finger ring take it first.
What to check before buying
In a ★ Karambit | Stained listing, these are the parameters to check:
- float: from 0.15 to 0.38, and the higher the number, the heavier the scuffing on the point and the ring;
- the point and the ring: scuffs appear on these parts earliest;
- name tag: a karambit can take one, there are no stickers, and the name stays on the listing.
Listings of the ★ Karambit | Stained within 0.15 to 0.38 differ noticeably in looks.
What the ★ Karambit | Stained costs in Field-Tested
The neighboring wears are spread as follows: Factory New costs 1.66 times as much, and Minimal Wear 1.10 times. Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred are 5% cheaper, so below this wear the price of the finish barely moves.

Closest above are Lore, then Damascus Steel and Crimson Web. Below, Ultraviolet and Night are about 13% cheaper. Slaughter, Autotronic and Blue Steel are the dearest, and Safari Mesh, Boreal Forest and Forest DDPAT the cheapest.
