The ★ Karambit | Ultraviolet in Well-Worn (WW) is given the band of 0.38 to 0.45. Covert rank, ★ mark included. It drops from cases of the Chroma series.
What the ★ Karambit | Ultraviolet looks like in Well-Worn
The blade is gray and two-toned: a dark flat and a light edge. The black handle and ring carry purple inserts with fine knurling, one short beside the blade and one long along the grip. Valve describes the finish as solid black and purple parts.
In Well-Worn the paint is rubbed away noticeably. Pale streaks run along the blade edge, chips show on the ridge of the handle, and the purple on the inserts has gone dull. The wear is set once, when the item drops.
Phase and pattern
The same artwork is applied across the whole run. The choice comes down to float and the name tag.
What to check before buying
What matters when buying this karambit:
- float: the 0.38 to 0.45 band is narrow, and listings look almost identical;
- how well the purple inserts and their knurling have survived;
- the name on the item: a name tag applied earlier stays after the purchase.
What the ★ Karambit | Ultraviolet costs in Well-Worn
With the band this narrow, copies are almost impossible to tell apart.
Among eighteen Covert karambits in this wear the finish stands in the middle: seven cost less and ten cost more. Freehand, Stained and Rust Coat are above it, Bright Water and Night below. Blue Steel, Case Hardened and Autotronic hold the top.
Setting the wears of this karambit side by side gives the following:
- Factory New is priced 4.3 times above it;
- Minimal Wear is priced 1.3 times above it;
- Field-Tested lies 1.04 times below;
- Battle-Scarred lies 1.1 times below.
Getting the ★ Karambit | Ultraviolet
The Chroma Case, the Chroma 2 Case and the Chroma 3 Case all drop it in Well-Worn. There is a craft as well. A contract of five Covert items of one type, with normal and StatTrak kept apart, returns a special rare item by lot from the collections of the inputs. Nobody can pick the model or finish beforehand, so a Well-Worn copy is looked for among ready listings.
Is there a StatTrak version
This karambit has a StatTrak version in the game.
Who this wear suits
Well-Worn is worth buying when:
- you want a karambit 4.3 times cheaper than Factory New and scuffed paint is acceptable;
- Field-Tested is only 1.04 times cheaper, so price barely separates the two wears;
- the CS2 setup is built in dark tones and the karambit serves as a light purple accent.
