★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Freehand (Factory New)

This is the ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Freehand in Factory New (FN), with a narrow float band from 0.00 to 0.07. Covert rank, with the ★ mark and the StatTrak™ kill counter.

What the ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Freehand looks like in Factory New

The blade is painted over a purple ground in white, gray and black graphics: hand-drawn marks that resemble hieroglyphs and graffiti run across the whole surface to the point. The handles are black, each with a purple inset along its length.

In Factory New the painting on the blade is clean, and the marks read without scuffs. Wear is set at the drop and does not build up. The floats found here run from 0.00 to 0.07. In this wear the knife is a tight 0.00 to 0.07 band, where a difference between lots is hard to catch.

Where the ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Freehand came from

One of the cases with this finish, the Operation Riptide Case, arrived with the operation Valve introduced on September 22, 2021. The finish later entered the Dreams & Nightmares Case as well, so the knife has several drop sources.

What to check before buying

Before taking a ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Freehand, look at these points:

• float: the skin's scale starts at 0.00, and FN takes its lower segment up to 0.07;

• kill counter: the number on a Freehand knife passes to the buyer as it is and is not reset;

• name tag: possible on the Freehand finish too, and it stays on the item after purchase.

What the ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Freehand costs in Factory New

Minimal Wear is cheaper by a factor of 1.15, Field-Tested by 1.49 and Well-Worn by 1.15. The StatTrak version in this wear costs about a fifth more than the normal one.

Among twenty-two StatTrak butterfly finishes in this wear, only Bright Water is cheaper than Freehand, and twenty are pricier. Above it stand Black Laminate, Tiger Tooth, Damascus Steel and Stained. The top of the row is Doppler (Sapphire), Gamma Doppler (Emerald) and Lore.

Getting the ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Freehand

In CS2 the knife drops from the Operation Riptide Case and the Dreams & Nightmares Case, with random wear. For the StatTrak version there is only one trade-up: five Covert StatTrak skins of one type become one random rare special item. Normal skins are not accepted in it, and neither the model nor the finish can be specified.

StatTrak and the normal version

This page describes the StatTrak version. The normal Butterfly Knife | Freehand is sold as a separate product. If you do not need the kill counter, go there, and you will not pay the premium in this wear.

Who this wear suits

Buying the ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Freehand in Factory New makes sense when:

• you want a butterfly knife with a painted design on a purple ground and a kill counter on the blade;

• the painting should be free of scuffs: Field-Tested is cheaper by a factor of 1.49, but its wear shows;

• the purple inserts on the black handles fit a CS2 loadout.
