The ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Rust Coat in Battle-Scarred (BS) is a scuffed butterfly in the color of rusted metal, with a kill counter. Covert rank, with the ★ mark. The finish has only two wears, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, because the float starts at 0.40. Battle-Scarred takes the stretch from 0.45 to 1.00, which is 92% of the whole scale.
What the ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Rust Coat looks like in Battle-Scarred
The blade looks like old iron: gray-brown metal with reddish and blue-gray patches and a dull edge. The handles are black, and each carries a central insert in the tone of the blade metal, dark brown with gray. There is almost no shine, so the knife looks worn by the very design of the finish.
The highest float does no harm to the picture here, since the finish is already built from signs of wear. Float is fixed at the drop, and the knife does not age with time.
What to check before buying
The differences between copies of the ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Rust Coat come down to this:
- float: for this knife the number matters more than the caption, as the stretch of 0.45 to 1.00 holds different looks;
- the kill counter reading: the knife goes to the buyer with it;
- name tag: a name on the knife is allowed.
Knives have no stickers.
What the ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Rust Coat costs in Battle-Scarred
The finish has just two steps, and Well-Worn costs 1.27 times more than Battle-Scarred. The StatTrak version costs about the same as the regular one, a difference of roughly three percent.
Among seventeen Covert StatTrak butterflies with a price in this wear, Rust Coat lies in the middle of the row: six are cheaper and ten cost more. Lore is higher by about 7%, Ultraviolet is nearly level, Night is 2% lower. Scorched is lower by 5% and Safari Mesh by 7%. Cheapest are Boreal Forest, Forest DDPAT and Urban Masked, and dearest are Blue Steel, Case Hardened and Damascus Steel.
Getting the ★ StatTrak™ Butterfly Knife | Rust Coat
From the Spectrum Case and the Spectrum 2 Case: in CS2 the StatTrak version drops from the same place as the regular one. The second road is a craft from five Covert StatTrak skins, with no regular ones mixed in. Model and finish cannot be chosen there.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The regular Rust Coat is sold as a separate listing, and that is where to go if the counter is not needed. No souvenir knives exist. The counter does not reset, and the StatTrak Swap Tool only exchanges the readings of two items of the same type.
