The ★ StatTrak™ Navaja Knife is the Navaja with a kill counter and no skin in CS2. There is no paint on it, and the listing says "Not Painted". Covert rank, with the ★ mark. With no wear, float or pattern, listings differ only in what the counter reads.
What the ★ StatTrak™ Navaja Knife looks like
The Navaja has a small blade with a short bevel at the point. Curling scrollwork is engraved near the heel; that is part of the model, not a skin. Beside it sits a steel cheek plate with a large screw.
The handle is curved, and its scale is mottled orange and beige, with dark veining and two screws. The color comes from the steel and the scale itself. Outwardly the counter version matches the normal one.
How the plain ★ StatTrak™ Navaja Knife differs from a skinned one
A skinned knife is judged on wear and pattern. A Navaja without a skin gives you nothing to judge:
- there is no wear grade, and the listing shows no float;
- there is no pattern: the scale and the engraving are the same on every copy;
- a name tag can go on, and a sticker cannot;
- the only variable is the number on the counter.
So you are choosing between the normal version and the one with a counter.
What the ★ StatTrak™ Navaja Knife costs
Among the model's skins, the ★ StatTrak™ Navaja Knife costs more than eleven by starting price and less than thirteen. Below it are Blue Steel (1.08 times cheaper), Stained (1.12 times) and Ultraviolet (1.13 times).
Above it come Case Hardened (28 percent more), Crimson Web (30 percent) and Tiger Tooth (32 percent). At the top of the ladder, Doppler Sapphire costs 4 times as much, Ruby nearly 6 times, Black Pearl 6.2 times.
StatTrak and the normal version
The Navaja also comes in a normal version, listed as a separate item. The counter tracks kills made with this particular copy, never zeroes out, and the buyer receives it with the number it has reached. The StatTrak™ version costs about 23 percent more than the normal one.
Getting the ★ StatTrak™ Navaja Knife
The ★ StatTrak™ Navaja Knife drops from four cases: the Horizon Case, Danger Zone Case, Prisma Case and Prisma 2 Case. The Danger Zone Case arrived on December 7, 2018, with the "Welcome to the Danger Zone" update. The knife sits in the rare special item pool, which makes the drop random.
The alternative is the trade-up contract: five Covert StatTrak™ skins yield one rare special item, and the model cannot be chosen in advance.
Who it suits
Buying the ★ StatTrak™ Navaja Knife on LIS-SKINS makes sense when:
- you like the small blade and the veined scale;
- you want a kill counter on a knife without a skin;
- paying extra for skins like Tiger Tooth is not justified: it costs 32 percent more.
