The ★ StatTrak™ Survival Knife is the CS2 Survival Knife with a kill counter and without a skin; the listing is described as unpainted. Covert rank, with the ★ mark. Wear, float and pattern do not apply, so the difference between listings is the figure on the counter.
What the ★ StatTrak™ Survival Knife looks like
The blade is broad with a clipped point, and a small hook is cut into the spine near the tip. A long slot runs along the blade, and there are serrations on the edge near the heel. The steel is bare, with light and dark blotches across the flat.
The handle is dark gray, made of several scales with finger grooves, held by screws. A lanyard hole sits in the butt. The counter does not touch the looks of the knife.
How the plain ★ StatTrak™ Survival Knife differs from a skinned one
Sorting through an unpainted listing is simpler than with a patterned knife:
- there is no wear, and the listing gives no float;
- there is no pattern: every Survival Knife is the same;
- a name tag can go on, but stickers cannot;
- the number on the counter is what you compare.
What is left to decide is whether to take the counter.
What the ★ StatTrak™ Survival Knife costs
By starting price the ★ StatTrak™ Survival Knife sits above ten skins of the model and below fourteen. Almost level with it, just below, are Survival Knife | Damascus Steel (1.02 times cheaper), Survival Knife | Ultraviolet (1.04 times) and Survival Knife | Stained (1.05 times).
Above it stand Survival Knife | Blue Steel (12 percent more), Survival Knife | Crimson Web (38 percent) and Survival Knife | Case Hardened (41 percent). The top of the range is the Doppler gems: Sapphire costs 5.6 times as much, Ruby 7.8 times and Black Pearl 9.1 times.
StatTrak and the normal version
The normal Survival Knife is a separate product. The counter tallies kills with this knife specifically, never resets, and moves to the new owner with the number it has reached. The counter version costs about 19 percent more than the normal one.
Getting the ★ StatTrak™ Survival Knife
The ★ StatTrak™ Survival Knife drops from the Shattered Web, Fracture and Fever cases. The Fever Case came out on March 31, 2025, in a Counter-Strike 2 update. The knife is in the rare special item pool, where bare steel drops on equal terms with skins.
Another route is a contract of five Covert StatTrak skins from one collection. It returns a rare special item, and you do not choose its model.
Who it suits
Buying the ★ StatTrak™ Survival Knife on LIS-SKINS makes sense when:
- you want a knife with a slot through the blade and a kill counter;
- you have no need for artwork on the steel;
- paying extra for Crimson Web or Case Hardened is pointless, as they cost 38 and 41 percent more.
