★ StatTrak™ Ursus Knife

The ★ StatTrak™ Ursus Knife is the Ursus in CS2 with a kill counter and no skin: the listing is marked "Not Painted". Covert rank, with the ★ mark. It has no wear, float or pattern, so the only thing that sets one listing apart from another is the counter.

What the ★ StatTrak™ Ursus Knife looks like

The blade is straight with a clipped point, and fine teeth run along the edge near the heel. The steel is bare, with a dark and a light highlight across the flat. A black guard sits above the handle.

The handle is olive green and covered in a scatter of tiny dots, with a lanyard hole at the butt. The knife gets its color from the steel and the green handle. The counter does not change the picture.

How the plain ★ StatTrak™ Ursus Knife differs from a skinned one

Skinned knives are chosen by wear and pattern. Here the choice is a different one:

• there is no wear grade, so no float band to name;

• there is no pattern, so every copy is identical;

• a name tag can be applied, but there are no sticker slots;

• the number on the counter is all that is left to compare.

The decision comes down to one thing: the normal version or the one with a counter.

What the ★ StatTrak™ Ursus Knife costs

By starting price, the ★ StatTrak™ Ursus Knife costs more than eleven of the model's skins and less than thirteen. Just beneath it are Blue Steel (level with it), Ultraviolet (1.04 times cheaper) and Damascus Steel (1.10 times cheaper).

Above it sit Case Hardened (1.4 times the price), Crimson Web (also 1.4 times) and Tiger Tooth (1.6 times). The top of the ladder belongs to the Doppler gems: Sapphire at 6.6 times, Ruby at 9.1 and Black Pearl at 10.6.

StatTrak and the normal version

The normal ★ Ursus Knife has a page of its own. The counter tallies kills made with this exact knife, never resets, and goes to the buyer with its number intact. The StatTrak™ version costs about 8 percent more than the normal one.

Getting the ★ StatTrak™ Ursus Knife

The Ursus Knife drops from the Prisma Case, Horizon Case, Prisma 2 Case and Danger Zone Case. The Danger Zone Case came out on December 7, 2018. The knife sits in the rare special item pool, and bare steel comes up at random.

The trade-up contract is the second route. Five Covert StatTrak™ skins from one collection turn into a single rare special item, and you do not choose the model.

Who it suits

Buying the ★ StatTrak™ Ursus Knife on LIS-SKINS makes sense when:

• you want a straight blade with a green handle and a kill counter;

• you have no use for artwork;

• paying 1.4 to 1.6 times more for Tiger Tooth and Case Hardened does not appeal.
