The ★ Talon Knife | Crimson Web in Field-Tested (FT) is a sickle-shaped CS2 knife with a red blade across which a dark web spreads. Covert rank, with the ★ mark. The Horizon Case and the Danger Zone Case are where it drops. The finish exists in all five wears, and its overall float scale starts at 0.06 and ends at 0.80. For this wear the ★ Talon Knife | Crimson Web is allotted 0.15 to 0.38.
What the ★ Talon Knife | Crimson Web looks like in Field-Tested
Thin dark threads of web cut through the red blade, and a strip of light steel runs along the cutting edge. Three round holes and serrations line the spine. The handle is flat, dark gray and riveted, and the ring at the end is painted red. By Valve's description, a hydrographic film carrying the web covers the red base, with a semi-gloss lacquer on top.
In Field-Tested the wear marks gather on the edge, the tip and the red ring. Listings of the ★ Talon Knife | Crimson Web within 0.15 to 0.38 differ noticeably in looks. Wear is recorded at the drop, and the talon does not wear down any further.
Where the ★ Talon Knife | Crimson Web came from
The talon belongs to the rare special item pool of the Horizon Case. On December 7, 2018 Valve released the Danger Zone Case, where these knives lie as rare special items, which is why the finish has two cases.
Phase and pattern
Here the pattern changes from copy to copy. The pattern index slides the web along the blade and alters the number of centers the threads fan out from. One or two centers show up on ordinary copies, and three or more mark the rarest and costliest. The finish carries no phase names, so listings of one wear are told apart by the number of centers on the blade.
What to check before buying
Before buying the ★ Talon Knife | Crimson Web, check the following:
- the number of web centers on the blade, which moves the price of a copy inside one wear;
- float: copies visibly differ within 0.15 to 0.38, and the edge is cleaner toward 0.15;
- the applied name: the talon takes a name tag, and the tag stays on the item after purchase.
What the ★ Talon Knife | Crimson Web costs in Field-Tested
The gap to the top wear is large here. Factory New costs 7.36 times as much and Minimal Wear 1.58 times. Well-Worn is level, and Battle-Scarred is 1.15 times cheaper.
Of the thirteen talon finishes in this wear, three stand above Crimson Web: Blue Steel, Case Hardened and Slaughter. Damascus Steel, Stained and Ultraviolet lie below it. The cheapest finishes of the row, Safari Mesh, Boreal Forest and Forest DDPAT, cost from one and a half to two times less.
Getting the ★ Talon Knife | Crimson Web
The talon in this finish drops from the Horizon Case and the Danger Zone Case, with the wear and the number of web centers handed out at random. A contract does not guarantee the web: five Covert skins merge into a rare special item whose model and finish are both random. The Talon Knife with the web you want is bought as a ready-made listing.
Is there a StatTrak version
A StatTrak version of the ★ Talon Knife | Crimson Web exists in the game.
Who this wear suits
Field-Tested is a sensible choice for the ★ Talon Knife | Crimson Web when:
- you want a talon with a red web, and Factory New costs 7.36 times as much;
- you compare copies by web centers and by float;
- your CS2 loadout is built around red, and the dark gray handle does not draw attention away from the blade.
