Description

Well-Worn (WW) on the AK-47 | Fire Serpent is a narrow band, and it costs more than Field-Tested on the same rifle. The wear takes 10% of the finish's scale: 0.07 out of 0.70. It is Covert rank and drops from the Operation Bravo Case.

What the AK-47 | Fire Serpent looks like in Well-Worn

The artwork is built from two color zones. The front half of the receiver, the dust cover and the gas tube are green with dark green shadows, and golden curls are scattered across the cover. The stock and the lower part of the handguard are orange, like lacquered wood with a coarse grain. The barrel and the rear sight stay dark metal.

The key detail is the serpent's head: white fangs, a yellow eye and a red-burgundy ornament beside it. In Well-Worn the plate with the head and the edges of the dust cover are already lighter than the rest of the body. The stock corners are touched too, but the serpent stays recognizable. There is no lettering or numbers on the body.

Where the AK-47 | Fire Serpent came from

The author of the AK-47 | Fire Serpent is Valve itself, with no outside artist behind the finish. Its catalog number is 180, among the earliest.

The Bravo Collection opened in the game on September 19, 2013, and the AK-47 | Fire Serpent was in it from day one.

What to check before buying

These are the points worth verifying:

  • float: this wear spans 0.38 to 0.45;

  • the gold marks on the dust cover and the red-burgundy ornament near the serpent's head;

  • stickers on the rifle and a name tag, if it has one.

The artwork is one for all copies, so pattern index decides nothing. The wear fits within 0.38 to 0.45, so listings look the same.

What the AK-47 | Fire Serpent costs in Well-Worn

Against the other wears:

  • Factory New costs about 2.7 times more;

  • Minimal Wear costs about a quarter more;

  • Field-Tested costs about a tenth less;

  • Battle-Scarred costs about a third less.

Prices do not follow the order of wear: the more worn Well-Worn costs more than Field-Tested. It takes 10% of the scale, while Field-Tested takes a third.

Among Covert AK-47 skins in this wear, the finish ranks third by price: only AK-47 | Gold Arabesque and AK-47 | Wild Lotus are dearer. AK-47 | X-Ray is almost half the price. AK-47 | Vulcan, AK-47 | Bloodsport and AK-47 | Neon Revolution cost six to seven times less.

Getting the AK-47 | Fire Serpent

The AK-47 | Fire Serpent drops from the Operation Bravo Case, and no other case holds it.

The second route is a trade-up contract of ten skins from the rank below. AWP | Graphite or P2000 | Ocean Foam will do. With ten from this collection, the outcome is a random pick between the collection's two Covert skins.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The AK-47 | Fire Serpent comes in a StatTrak version. Souvenir copies of the finish also turn up, though no souvenir packages were released for it, since those were made only for tournament map collections. Such copies are made through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player's autograph on a regular skin from your inventory.

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Fire Serpent

There is not much free space on the skin. The receiver is occupied by the serpent and the gold marks, and the magazine is covered in pattern. The orange stock gives a flat plane, and a sticker there is visible at once. Warm gold and red colors fit the palette, while cold blues fight the turquoise of the magazine. In CS2, holo stickers on the dark magazine look like a separate accent.

Who this wear suits

Well-Worn on the AK-47 | Fire Serpent makes sense for these jobs:

  • you want an early Covert finish in CS2, and paying 2.7 times more for Factory New is not justified;

  • the green serpent and the gold marks matter, not untouched paint on the plate;

  • you want a wear with a narrow float band and a predictable look.

If you want a more worn look, it is lower on the scale: Battle-Scarred costs about a third less.
