The AK-47 | Gold Arabesque in Field-Tested (FT) is a gold Covert rifle from The 2021 Dust 2 Collection. Of the five wears it is fourth by price, only 1.11 times above Battle-Scarred, and its float band runs from 0.15 to 0.38.

What the AK-47 | Gold Arabesque looks like in Field-Tested

The rifle is built from two different halves. All the steel, from barrel to magazine, is gold and glossy, with engraved filigree that shows at an angle. The handguard and stock are pale pink and cream, crossed by dark lace made of loops. The grip is light lilac.

The middle of the scale brings visible wear. Along the edge of the top cover and the magazine ribs the gold dulls toward brass, and at the edges of the stock and handguard the lace turns lighter. The float is set when the skin drops and never changes afterward.

Where the AK-47 | Gold Arabesque came from

No Steam Workshop artist is behind this finish; Valve made it in-house. It came out on September 21, 2021, together with The 2021 Dust 2 Collection, and its number in the Valve catalog is 921.

There is no StatTrak version of the AK-47 | Gold Arabesque. A Souvenir version does exist.

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Gold Arabesque

Gold filigree is already a busy background, and a Field-Tested build with stickers spends money on something the metal swallows easily. Dark stickers stand out on gold; light and yellow ones disappear. A sticker sits best on the flat of the receiver, away from the lace on the wood.

Who this wear suits

Buying the AK-47 | Gold Arabesque in Field-Tested makes sense when:

• you want a gold AK-47 for CS2 and the extra 1.32 times for Minimal Wear is not worth it;


• you choose by the float number, since near the lower limit the gold on the edges is cleaner;


• you are buying the color and the lace, not untouched edges.

In CS2 the wears differ only in how the body looks. If the gold has to stay glossy, look at Factory New.
