AK-47 | Green Laminate (Field-Tested)

The AK-47 | Green Laminate in Field-Tested (FT) is a Mil-Spec rifle with bright green wood and dark factory metal. On this AK, Field-Tested floats run from 0.15 up to 0.38. The finish's wear scale breaks off at 0.40, so Field-Tested takes up a little over six tenths of it. The skin has no ordinary case: it belongs to The 2021 Vertigo Collection and turns up in tournament Souvenir packages.

What the AK-47 | Green Laminate looks like in Field-Tested

Valve writes that green laminate is applied to the stock, grip and handguard. The color is juicy and grassy, with brown and dark green rings of layers running in ovals. The upper cover above the gas tube carries the same laminate. The receiver, cover, barrel and magazine stay dark gray metal.

Wear in this grade is medium, with noticeable scratches and scuffs in the paint. Its degree is recorded in the item's float at the drop and does not change later. Above 0.38 the finish's scale nearly ends: Well-Worn fits into the stretch from 0.38 to 0.40.

Where the AK-47 | Green Laminate came from

The finish belongs to The 2021 Vertigo Collection, which is named after the map. It has no case: Valve put this skin into the Vertigo Souvenir packages of six tournaments, Stockholm 2021, Antwerp 2022, Rio 2022, Paris 2023, Copenhagen 2024 and Shanghai 2024.

The finish's number in Valve's catalog is 1070. Valve's description ends with the caption "It's the simple things".

What to check before buying

Before paying for the AK-47 | Green Laminate, check these points:

• the float: the band of 0.15 to 0.38 is long here, and a listing at 0.38 is clearly more worn than one at 0.15;

• whether the copy is a Souvenir: gold tournament stickers and a player autograph give a Souvenir copy away;

• the applied name tag and stickers, which remain on the listing.

The artwork on the AK-47 | Green Laminate is applied identically across the whole run. For this AK-47 the float number matters more than the wear label: the stretch from 0.15 to 0.38 holds different looks.

What the AK-47 | Green Laminate costs in Field-Tested

The other wears stand like this against this one:

• Factory New comes to about two and a half times the price;

• Minimal Wear costs a few percent more.

There is no Battle-Scarred for this skin: the scale breaks off at 0.40, and Well-Worn gets the stretch from 0.38 to 0.40.

Among Mil-Spec AK-47s in this wear, the AK-47 | Green Laminate is second by price of seven. Only AK-47 | Black Laminate costs more, by over two times. Crossfade, Elite Build, Steel Delta, Uncharted and Wintergreen are cheaper by almost eight times or more.

Getting the AK-47 | Green Laminate

Souvenir copies come out of the Vertigo packages listed above. The route that avoids buying is a trade-up: ten skins of the rank below, and the AK-47 | Green Laminate at the end. With all ten taken from The 2021 Vertigo Collection, which has four Industrial Grade skins, the chance is one in four.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The AK-47 | Green Laminate has no StatTrak™ version, but it does have a Souvenir release: the finish is in the Vertigo Souvenir packages of six tournaments.

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Green Laminate

The bright green argues with colored stickers: red, orange and white ones hold their contrast, while green and yellow-green ones get lost. The dark metal of the receiver and magazine is the calmest area for a sticker. It is a pity to cover the wood: the color is the entire finish, and in a CS2 craft it sets the tone for the other stickers.

Who this wear suits

Buying the AK-47 | Green Laminate in Field-Tested makes sense for these reasons:

• you want a bright AK for CS2 where the wood stands out at first glance;

• paying two and a half times more for Factory New does not appeal;

• you choose a listing by float number, since the band of 0.15 to 0.38 holds a noticeable difference in wear.

The finish has a limit of its own: its wear ends at Well-Worn, and the scale breaks off at 0.40.
