The AK-47 | Ice Coaled in Well-Worn (WW) is the fourth of five versions of a black rifle with a green-and-blue insert. This wear gets a float of 0.38 to 0.45, which is 9% of the finish's scale, ending at 0.77. It is Classified rank, and the rifle drops from the Recoil Case.
What the AK-47 | Ice Coaled looks like in Well-Worn
The rifle is mostly black, and the paint sits in three areas. An acid-green plate with dark dots covers the top of the handguard. The cover and side of the receiver run in a gradient from turquoise to blue. The stock is a light gray-green with a black oval. The magazine is black with turquoise lines, and brass cartridges can be seen in its window. The white marks are "09" on the handguard, "AK" on the receiver and stock, and an arrow at the rear edge of the receiver.
Valve's own description is a bright green-to-blue gradient, with the caption "Cold to the touch". In Well-Worn the wear gathers on the green plate: its ribs are rubbed off, and on the receiver cover the edge where the gradient breaks off turns lighter. The white graphics hold on the flat surfaces. Wear is set at the drop, and a listing's float stays what it is.
Where the AK-47 | Ice Coaled came from
REINCARNATION, an author on the Steam Workshop, is behind the skin. The submission "AK47 ICE COALED" appeared there on June 28, 2022, and its description came to two words: "COG THINGS". The skin reached the game in July 2022 with the Recoil Case. In its update note Valve called the case a set of seventeen community works, and the gloves from the Operation Broken Fang Case rare items. The number in the Valve catalog is 1143.
What to check before buying
Choosing a particular AK-47 | Ice Coaled comes down to these points:
- the float inside 0.38 to 0.45: the band is short, and listings barely differ;
- the ribs of the green plate, which show the wear;
- a name tag and stickers that this AK-47 | Ice Coaled already carries.
The pattern index changes nothing on the AK-47 | Ice Coaled. Within 0.38 to 0.45 there is no best copy to look for.
What the AK-47 | Ice Coaled costs in Well-Worn
The other wears, set against Well-Worn:
- Factory New costs almost two and a half times as much;
- Minimal Wear costs almost one and a half times as much;
- Field-Tested is cheaper by about a fifth;
- Battle-Scarred is cheaper by almost a third.
Among fourteen Classified AK-47s in Well-Worn, this skin stands near the very bottom: only AK-47 | Searing Rage is cheaper. Right above come AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge and AK-47 | Phantom Disruptor, then AK-47 | The Outsiders and AK-47 | Crane Flight, which costs almost twice as much. At the other end of the rank stand AK-47 | Case Hardened and AK-47 | Jet Set.
Getting the AK-47 | Ice Coaled
Among CS2 cases this rifle appears only in the Recoil Case. A trade-up for an AK-47 | Ice Coaled takes ten skins one rank below from this collection. The set has three Classified skins, so the chance of the one you want is one in three.
StatTrak and Souvenir
A StatTrak version of the AK-47 | Ice Coaled exists. Souvenir copies of the finish turn up as well, though no Souvenir packages were released for it, since those were made only for tournament map collections. Such copies are built through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a regular skin from your inventory.
Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Ice Coaled
The rifle's black metal is bare of paint, so stickers go there comfortably: the lower handguard and the grip do not compete with the gradient. Light and silver stickers read clearly on black. The gradient on the receiver is better left uncovered.
Who this wear suits
Take an AK-47 | Ice Coaled in Well-Worn in these cases:
- you want a Classified AK-47 for CS2 with visible wear on the green plate;
- the gradient on the receiver matters more than clean edges;
- the price between Minimal Wear and Battle-Scarred suits you.
A rifle with less wear is available in Minimal Wear, which is the nearest wear up.
