AK-47 | Leet Museo (Battle-Scarred)

In Battle-Scarred (BS) the AK-47 | Leet Museo is at its most worn, with a float of 0.45 to 0.65. The skin's scale stops at 0.65, so the extremely beaten copies that other AK-47 skins have do not exist here. It is a Covert skin from the Operation Riptide Case.

What the AK-47 | Leet Museo looks like in Battle-Scarred

The rifle looks pasted over with flat, painterly panels, as if it were assembled from pieces of large paintings. The palette is muted: pale turquoise, cream, brick red, dark blue, grass green and gray. Only the barrel, the front sight and the top of the gas block show bare dark metal, and everything else is painted.

The image is not one piece, and each part carries its own fragment. Most identifiable are the green-crowned tree on the handguard and the figure in a long beige coat on the magazine. On the stock sits a cream rectangle with a small blue square inside. There is no lettering.

The panel contours trace the ribs of the handguard, the cover and the stock, which is where scuffing starts. At the bottom of the scale these edges are the most scuffed, though the figures on the flat sides still read.

Where the AK-47 | Leet Museo came from

The Workshop submission was titled "AK-47 | Pablo | Unsigned" and went up on April 19, 2021. The description gives the scene as two Elite Crew terrorists creeping down the long passage on Dust 2. The painting is done in the style of Pablo Picasso, as a tribute to him. The signature was removed from this version so the likeness to the original would not come too close. Its Valve catalog number is 1087.

The skin reached the game on September 21, 2021, with The Operation Riptide Collection. Valve announced the operation itself in a post dated September 22.

What to check before buying

On a listing of the AK-47 | Leet Museo, three things are worth checking:

• float: the 0.45 to 0.65 band is noticeably longer than in the upper wears, and copies at its ends look different;

• the edges of the handguard, the cover and the stock, where the paint comes off first;

• the stickers and name tag the listing inherited from a previous owner.

The artwork on the AK-47 | Leet Museo is fixed and does not depend on the copy.

What the AK-47 | Leet Museo costs in Battle-Scarred

No wear of this finish costs less than Battle-Scarred, and the others cost more:

• Well-Worn, 1.2 times as much;

• Field-Tested, 2.7 times;

• Minimal Wear, 3.5 times;

• Factory New, 8.3 times.

Among Covert AK-47 skins priced in this wear, the finish lands mid-pack: ten skins cost less and twelve cost more. A little above it are AK-47 | AUTOEXEC, AK-47 | Wasteland Rebel and AK-47 | Consequence of the Jinn. A little below are AK-47 | Nightwish and AK-47 | B the Monster.

Getting the AK-47 | Leet Museo

The Operation Riptide Case is where the skin drops. A contract also produces it, from ten skins one rank lower. In this collection those are the Classified Glock-18 | Snack Attack, MAC-10 | Toybox and SSG 08 | Turbo Peek. A ten built from this set returns a skin from the same collection, which holds two Covert skins, so the odds are one in two.

The AK-47 | Leet Museo also works as input: five Covert skins yield a rare special item with the ★ mark. For this collection that is a Bowie Knife, Butterfly Knife, Falchion Knife, Huntsman Knife or Shadow Daggers.

StatTrak and Souvenir

A StatTrak version of the AK-47 | Leet Museo exists. No Souvenir packages were released for this skin.

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Leet Museo

Each part is taken up by its own piece of the painting, so a sticker reads as one more panel. Stickers in the same muted tones sit most calmly: cream, brick, turquoise. The cream rectangle on the stock works as a ready-made frame.

Who this wear suits

The AK-47 | Leet Museo in Battle-Scarred is worth buying in these cases:

• you want a painterly AK-47 for CS2 at the lowest price of the five wears;

• the integrity of the scene is enough for you: the tree and the figures stay recognizable even under heavy wear;

• you need a Covert skin of the Operation Riptide collection for a contract or a set.
