AK-47 | Point Disarray (Battle-Scarred)

Battle-Scarred (BS) is the most worn of the five wears of the AK-47 | Point Disarray. The skin's scale is cut off at the top by a ceiling of 0.67, so BS takes up a third of the whole range. It is a Terrorist-side rifle, Classified, and drops from the Revolver Case.

What the AK-47 | Point Disarray looks like in Battle-Scarred

The body is assembled from sharp facets: red, light-blue and white shards scatter across the receiver and the magazine. The top of the handguard is solid red, the front sight and gas block are light blue, and the lower handguard, grip and magazine stay black with a fine pattern. Valve calls the finish geometric hydrographics, and that is how it looks: no figures, no lettering, just a scatter of facets.

This wear covers the band from 0.45 to 0.67. Wear is fixed at the drop, so a copy stays exactly as it dropped. Of the five wears, only BS reaches the skin's ceiling.

Where the AK-47 | Point Disarray came from

The finish's author is ClegFX. He posted the "AK-47 | Point Disarray" submission to the Steam Workshop on July 9, 2015. By his own account it is his first work for CS:GO, after earlier skins for the Dota Workshop. The skin was released in December 2015.

What to check before buying

Before taking this rifle, look at the following:

• Float: 0.45 is the floor of the wear and 0.67 is the ceiling of the skin itself.

• Stickers on the receiver, and a renamed copy if a name tag is on.

Across the whole run, the drawing on the rifle is the same. This wear stretches from 0.45 to 0.67, and you can see that when you inspect a copy.

What the AK-47 | Point Disarray costs in Battle-Scarred

The other wears relative to BS:

• Factory New costs 3.58 times as much.

• Minimal Wear costs 1.53 times as much.

• Well-Worn costs 1.29 times as much.

• Field-Tested is 1.08 times cheaper.

Only Field-Tested comes in cheaper than Battle-Scarred, and by a few percent at that. Among Classified AK-47s priced in this wear, the skin is mid-row: six cost less and eight cost more. The AK-47 | Frontside Misty and AK-47 | Cartel are about a tenth higher. The AK-47 | Phantom Disruptor and AK-47 | Nouveau Rouge sit more than twice as low. The top of the row is the AK-47 | Case Hardened, AK-47 | Jet Set and AK-47 | Hydroponic, whose prices are of a different order.

Getting the AK-47 | Point Disarray

The AK-47 | Point Disarray drops from the Revolver Case, and the skin is part of The Revolver Case Collection.

To get it by trade-up, you hand in ten skins of the rank below. If all ten come from that collection, which has three Classified skins, the chance is one in three.

StatTrak and Souvenir

This skin has a StatTrak™ version. Souvenir copies of the finish are also found, yet Souvenir packages for it were never put out: they were produced only for tournament map collections. Anyone can make such a copy with the Souvenir-O-Matic, which applies gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to a normal inventory skin.

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Point Disarray

The receiver is taken up by facets, and a small sticker gets lost among them. The black surfaces are calmer: the lower handguard, the magazine and the grip. White and red stickers hold their outline there, and light-blue ones echo the front sight and gas block.

Who this wear suits

Battle-Scarred is a reasonable pick on this skin in these situations:

• you want an AK for CS2 with a geometric pattern, and clean paint does not matter.

• you need a cheaper way into the Classified rank of The Revolver Case Collection than Minimal Wear or Factory New.

• the float ceiling of 0.67 suits you: this skin has no copies above it.
