AK-47 | Searing Rage (Battle-Scarred)

In Battle-Scarred (BS) the AK-47 | Searing Rage sits in the widest wear on the float scale. It takes more than half of the finish's scale, and the dark base hides scuffs so well that they read as part of the street-art look. The rank is Classified, and the rifle drops from the Fever Case.

What the AK-47 | Searing Rage looks like in Battle-Scarred

The body is nearly black with a gray-blue cast and a rough texture. Across it run yellow-orange flames with a red outline, lying on the handguard, the cover and the side of the receiver. The magazine is dark red, with yellow-red fire on it. Marker scribbles in orange cover the gas tube and the top cover, and the word "ENEMIES" can be read on the tube. The stock is dark with orange strokes; the barrel, the front sight and the gas block are left as bare metal.

In Battle-Scarred the thin strokes and flame outlines on the handguard ribs and the stock edges are already rubbed out. The dense fire on the flat side of the magazine holds longer, and the black base masks scratches. The picture will not change from here: a wear figure is assigned to a listing once, at the drop.

Where the AK-47 | Searing Rage came from

Horameow drew the finish together with two co-authors, and the Steam Workshop submission appeared on April 28, 2024. The authors say they wanted a dark, aggressive design reflecting the spirit of any armed confrontation. The imagery is taken from the film "Backdraft": the lettering and artwork look as though an arsonist obsessed with fire had left them. The collection was first going to be called FIREFIGHTER, but that name already existed in the Workshop, so it was renamed EXPLOSION.

The Fever Collection went live on March 31, 2025, and the AK-47 | Searing Rage was in it from day one. Valve's catalog numbers the finish 1207, and the update note mentions The Fever Case.

What to check before buying

Before buying an AK-47 | Searing Rage, check the following:

• float: the band for this wear runs from 0.45 to 1.00, and toward the upper edge the body shows noticeably more scuffing;


• the condition of the red magazine and of the lettering on the gas tube;


• what the previous owner left on the rifle: stickers and a name tag.

Pattern offers no variants to choose between. In this wear the rifle can be bought with very different amounts of wear, since the 0.45 to 1.00 band is wide.

What the AK-47 | Searing Rage costs in Battle-Scarred

The skin has five wears, and Battle-Scarred is the cheapest of them. Factory New costs almost four times as much, Minimal Wear more than one and a half times, Well-Worn a fifth more, Field-Tested ten percent more.

Among Classified AK-47 finishes in this wear, the skin is second from the bottom of fifteen. Only Ice Coaled is cheaper. Slightly dearer are Nouveau Rouge, Phantom Disruptor and The Outsiders, and Crane Flight costs twice as much. The top of the list belongs to Case Hardened, Jet Set and Hydroponic.

A trade-up also gets you this rifle: ten Restricted skins go in, and the result comes from the collection of one of the inputs. Putting in ten from The Fever Collection is the player's choice, not a requirement. That set has three Classified skins, so this one then comes up one time in three.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The AK-47 | Searing Rage has a StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages carry this finish.

Stickers and craft on the AK-47 | Searing Rage

On the dark body, light and bright stickers read well, while dark ones get lost. Orange and red stickers argue with the fire, whereas cold blue and white ones stand out against it. The lettering on the gas tube is best left uncovered: it is the only legible word on the weapon.

Who this wear suits

Battle-Scarred makes sense for the AK-47 | Searing Rage if:

• you want a fiery CS2 rifle at the lowest entry cost among the skin's wears;


• scuffs do not bother you, since the dark base hides them;


• you plan to put stickers on it rather than choose it for flawless paint.

If sharp flame outlines and a clean stock matter, look at Minimal Wear or Factory New.
