Description

The Ambush Sticker Capsule is a capsule of stickers by Steam Workshop artists. Inside is one random sticker out of twenty-one entries: drawings, plus Glitter and Holo versions.

What's inside the capsule

The contents are fixed and known in advance. Among the regular stickers are This Is Fine (Chicken), Retro Zeus, Please Return To, Peek-A-Boo, AKickflip-47, Easy For Ricksaw, Bum A Smoke and Angry T.

There are pricier finishes too: Glitter Lotus and Pushing Smokes, Holo Cedar Creek and Lit. The other nine entries are in the same list.

Exactly one sticker drops. The odds are not equal across finishes, but Valve does not publish exact figures.

The names in the list stay in English, as they are recorded in the game. The authors differ, so the capsule has no single theme: every entry is a separate work by its own artist.

Where the Ambush Sticker Capsule came from

The capsule was released in February 2024. It is a collection of works by Steam Workshop authors, not a tournament set, so it has no team seeding tiers.

For a capsule of community work the author's signature matters: its entries are drawings by individual artists, not team logos.

Opening the capsule

No key is needed: the capsule opens by itself, and you pay only for the capsule, unlike weapon cases.

A sticker from the capsule goes on any firearm. There are five slots, and the player sets the position and rotation freely. Knives and gloves take no stickers.

Scraping is added by hand and cannot be reversed; at the last step the sticker disappears from the weapon. The capsule has no float or wears, no StatTrak or Souvenir version, and it does not go into a trade-up.

If you want a particular sticker, the five slots let you put several on one weapon at once.

What the Ambush Sticker Capsule costs

The capsule's price is set by its contents: twenty-one entries, some of them Glitter and Holo. The supply is closed: new capsules are not released, and every opening removes one from circulation.

The money in such a capsule sits in the Glitter and Holo entries, but the odds on them are unknown. A sealed capsule leans on the whole list at once, not on a single drawing, and that sets it apart from an individual sticker.

You can buy it for CS2 for the draw of artists' drawings. In CS2 a sticker from it gives no in-game advantage.

Opening the capsule for the draw is fine: there is no guaranteed rare sticker in it.

Who it suits

  • you want Workshop artists' drawings rather than team logos;

  • you are interested in a draw, not a guaranteed result;

  • you collect sealed capsules whose supply has stopped;

  • you want an in-game gift that needs no key.
