AWP | Exothermic (Battle-Scarred)

Battle-Scarred (BS) is the most worn of the five wears of the AWP | Exothermic. The band is cut off at the top: the skin's float ceiling is 0.70, so this wear spans 0.45 to 0.70, or 36% of the scale. The rank is Restricted, the set The Harlequin Collection. An AWP with a red body costs less in this wear than in any other.

What the AWP | Exothermic looks like in Battle-Scarred

The receiver, stock, grip, scope tube and the rings of the scope turrets are flooded with a saturated red, laced with lighter pinkish fibrous strokes. The barrel, bipod, lens rim, top rail and butt plate are left as bare dark metal. There is no artwork or lettering on the rifle: it is a one-tone fill with a texture of small strokes, identical on every part.

In Battle-Scarred the scuffs come out along the receiver edges, the lip of the cheek rest and the scope rings. With no artwork to hide behind, the wear reads as gray metal patches on red. The flat planes of the stock and receiver stay red longest.

Where the AWP | Exothermic came from

The Harlequin Collection was released on January 21, 2026, and the AWP | Exothermic has been in the set since launch. Valve drew the finish itself, with no Steam Workshop submission behind it, and the catalog lists it as number 1378. Its caption reads: "Cool guys don't look at explosions".

What to check before buying

Three things are worth comparing on the AWP | Exothermic:

• float, which in this wear runs from 0.45 to 0.70;


• stickers and name tag, which pass to the buyer with the listing;


• the placement of the light strokes on the receiver and stock, which differs between copies.

Go by the number rather than the wear label: a band of 0.45 to 0.70 is wide.

Pattern variance on the AWP | Exothermic

Getting the AWP | Exothermic

No case drops this finish. The Harlequin Collection is on the Weekly Care Package reward list, where Valve added it on January 21, 2026.

The other route is a trade-up contract. Ten Mil-Spec skins go in from anywhere, and the result's set is decided by what the inputs are. A ten taken from The Harlequin Collection leaves a choice between two Restricted skins, and this AWP comes up in one case out of two.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The AWP | Exothermic has no StatTrak version, and the finish has no Souvenir packages either.

Stickers and craft on the AWP | Exothermic

A red fill with no artwork holds stickers well: the ground is even and nothing on it argues with a craft. Light stickers read better on red than dark ones. In Battle-Scarred that helps, since the scuffs on the edges show at once and stickers sit best on the flat planes of the receiver and stock.

Who this wear suits

Battle-Scarred is the right pick on the AWP | Exothermic if:
