This is the AWP | PAW in Well-Worn (WW), with a float band from 0.38 to 0.45: 14% of the finish's scale, which ends at 0.50. It is a Restricted skin from The Horizon Collection, an AWP for both teams.
What the AWP | PAW looks like in Well-Worn
The paws of the name are a metaphor rather than an image: the model carries no print of one. In its place, a carpet of little faces lies across the receiver, the cheek piece and the grip, olive, sand and brick in color, with turquoise and dark red patches. The muzzle brake, the scope and the bipod are gray or dark, with no pattern.
Well-Worn on the AWP | PAW fits within 0.38 to 0.45, so listings look alike. Scuffs eat the collage a piece at a time. First go the edges of the receiver, the cheek piece and the butt, where the animals lose their recognizability. In the middle of the flat side the artwork stays readable longer.
Where the AWP | PAW came from
TheDanidem worked on the finish. His submission "AWP // PawPaw" appeared on the Steam Workshop on January 6, 2018. He writes that the idea of "cats against dogs in CS:GO" had been with him for a long time. By his description, the anodized multicolor finish gives shine to the cats' eyes, the sunglasses, the metal and the gold. In Valve's catalog this is finish 718.
What to check before buying
Worth checking on an AWP | PAW:
- float: you can buy the AWP | PAW with a float anywhere from 0.38 to 0.45;
- the stickers and name tag the AWP inherited from its previous owner.
What the AWP | PAW costs in Well-Worn
Factory New runs above three times the price, Minimal Wear one and a half times. Field-Tested is not much cheaper, and Battle-Scarred is not much dearer.
Among Restricted AWPs in Well-Worn, the skin is almost at the very bottom: the AWP | Pit Viper is the only cheaper one. The AWP | Exothermic, AWP | Black Box and AWP | Atheris cost one and a half times as much.
Getting the AWP | PAW
The Horizon Collection opened in the game on August 1, 2018, and the skin was there from day one; it is in the Horizon Case as well. The AWP | PAW also comes out of a trade-up contract fed with ten Mil-Spec skins: the inputs determine which collection the result is drawn from.
StatTrak and Souvenir
StatTrak can be had on the AWP | PAW. Souvenir packages for the finish do not exist.
Stickers and craft on the AWP | PAW
Rubbed edges blend into the background, and the finish's small figures do not argue with stickers. For an AWP in CS2, large single-color stickers suit this wear.
Who this wear suits
The AWP | PAW is worth buying here under these conditions:
- you want a collage with visible wear at a price one and a half times below Minimal Wear;
- the gap to Battle-Scarred is small, and you want a lower float;
- listings in the narrow band from 0.38 to 0.45 look the same, and the choice comes down to price.
If you want crisp little faces, look at Minimal Wear.
