AWP | Phobos (Factory New)

Factory New (FN) on the AWP | Phobos takes less than a fifth of the finish's scale. The float runs from 0.00 to 0.07, and the finish itself cuts off at 0.40. It is Restricted rank, from The Gamma Collection, and usable on both sides.

What the AWP | Phobos looks like in Factory New

Valve describes the finish as metal panels and tough electronic components. The body is dark, a black-olive. Yellow-orange warning stripes run across the receiver and the stock. The rings at the muzzle, on the scope and in the stock cutouts are yellow too, with a hazard sign on the stock and small green markings on the receiver.

In Factory New the yellow marking is bright and the panel edges are whole. Its wear is set when the skin drops, and it stays put. The band of 0.00 to 0.07 is narrow on this skin, and copies are almost indistinguishable.

What to check before buying

In a listing, look at these things:

• the float within the band of 0.00 to 0.07;

• the yellow stripes on the receiver and the rings on the barrel, where a scuff is noticed earliest;

• stickers on the body and a name tag, if one has been applied.

Copies differ in wear alone, since they all carry the same artwork.

What the AWP | Phobos costs in Factory New

Of all this skin's wears, this one carries the highest price. Minimal Wear costs a little over two times less, Field-Tested two and a half times less, and Well-Worn 1.3 times less.

Among Restricted AWPs the finish is second from the bottom: only the AWP | Worm God costs less. The AWP | PAW costs about a quarter more and the AWP | Exothermic one and a half times more. The AWP | Black Box and the AWP | Exoskeleton cost four to five times more. The top of the list belongs to the AWP | Atheris and the AWP | POP AWP.

Getting the AWP | Phobos

The skin drops from the Gamma Case, and the collection came out in June 2016. The second road to it is a contract: ten skins of the rank below, taken from anywhere, and the result is drawn from the collection of one of them. Ten drawn wholly from The Gamma Collection steer it into that collection.

StatTrak and Souvenir

A StatTrak version of the AWP | Phobos exists; Souvenir packages for it were never made.

Stickers and craft on the AWP | Phobos

The dark body takes light stickers well, and yellow ones echo the markings. It is better not to add busy stickers to the stock and receiver: the stripes and the hazard sign already fill them. The artwork is shared by every copy, so in a sticker craft on CS2 only the color of the stickers counts.

Who this wear suits

The AWP | Phobos in this wear is worth buying if:

• you want an AWP with intact yellow stripes;

• you want a Restricted skin in CS2 at one of the lowest prices in its row;

• choosing by float does not matter, since the band of 0.00 to 0.07 is narrow.
