Well-Worn (WW) on the AWP | Pit Viper means a float of 0.38 to 0.45, the third of four wears. For CS2 this is a Restricted AWP from The Italy Collection, with no case. In price it sits between Minimal Wear and the rest, but closer to the lower ones.
What the AWP | Pit Viper looks like in Well-Worn
Green lies on the receiver, stock, grip and bipod, and all of that surface is covered in hydrographics: a dense mesh of small dark green spots. Lime is carried by three details, the block at the top of the stock, the spots on the grip and the bipod tips. The barrel, scope, rail and magazine stay dark.
In Well-Worn the first marks to notice are on the ribs of the receiver, at the edge of the cheek piece and on the lime bipod tips. Flat parts of the stock keep the pattern better, while the barrel and scope stay black.
Where the AWP | Pit Viper came from
There is no Steam Workshop behind this finish; it is Valve's own work, catalog number 251. The AWP | Pit Viper was released in November 2013 together with The Italy Collection.
What to check before buying
Between Pit Viper listings, compare the following:
- float: the 0.38 to 0.45 stretch is short, so there is hardly anything to choose by the number;
- where the scales sit on the receiver and stock;
- any name tag or stickers already fitted to the copy you are looking at.
Pattern variance on the AWP | Pit Viper
On this finish the position of the pattern differs on every copy: the hydrographic film lands with an offset. There are no named variants, so listings are best compared by screenshots.
What the AWP | Pit Viper costs in Well-Worn
Minimal Wear is dearer by 1.33 times. Field-Tested is cheaper by 8 percent and Battle-Scarred by 4. The bottom three wears lie close together.
Of the ten Restricted AWP rifles, it is the cheapest. The nearest, PAW and Worm God, cost two and a quarter and three times as much. Exothermic and Black Box cost more than three times as much, and Atheris three and a half.
Getting the AWP | Pit Viper
A trade-up reaches this skin too: ten Mil-Spec skins go into the contract, and the collection of the result is determined by one of the inputs. Copies also came out in the DreamHack 2013 and EMS One 2014 souvenir packages. There is no case.
StatTrak and Souvenir
There is no StatTrak for the AWP | Pit Viper, while Souvenir packages with this finish did exist.
Stickers and craft on the AWP | Pit Viper
In CS2, dark stickers vanish on the green scales and light ones read. Two stickers by the magazine window work best, where the surface is level.
Who this wear suits
Well-Worn pays off on the AWP | Pit Viper when:
- you want a price nearer the skin's lower end;
- scuffs on the ribs of the receiver do not bother you;
- you are buying the skin for its color and scales.
