The AWP | Printstream in Well-Worn (WW) comes with a narrow band and the lowest price of any wear of this finish. The band runs from 0.38 to 0.45. Covert rank; the rifle drops from the Fever Case.
What the AWP | Printstream looks like in Well-Worn
The base is white with a greenish tint, while the grip, butt plate and stock panels are black. Black graphics run over the white: a row of large crosses on the side of the receiver, blocks resembling a barcode, and a scatter of small dots. The barrel and scope body are silver.
In Well-Worn the wear no longer hides in the corners. The white grays along the whole edge of the receiver and on the cheek rest, and the thin lines at the edges merge into gray blotches. The large crosses on the flat stay sharp and carry the design, and the black inserts look almost as they do in the clean wears.
Where the AWP | Printstream came from
JTPNZ of the Steam Workshop draws the Printstream series. He picked the name back in 2020 for the first batch: it is a variable type in Java, the language in which ASCII art is coded. He returned to the AWP years later, and his submission of June 9, 2024 is written like the launch of a system with a password prompt.
The AWP | Printstream appeared on March 31, 2025, when The Fever Collection was added to the game. Its number in Valve's catalog is 1206.
What to check before buying
Two things deserve a look on the AWP | Printstream before you pay:
- the gray edges by the scope mount, which are darker toward the top of the band;
- an applied name tag and stickers, which stay with the listing on the AWP | Printstream.
The AWP | Printstream has no pattern variants, so there is nothing to choose by there. The spread of 0.38 to 0.45 is so small that choosing by float is pointless.
What the AWP | Printstream costs in Well-Worn
Measured against this wear, the others cost:
- Factory New is about four times dearer;
- Minimal Wear is about three fifths dearer;
- Field-Tested is about a seventh dearer;
- Battle-Scarred is dearer by just a few percent.
A narrow band earns no premium: Well-Worn is the cheapest of the five wears, though it takes only seven hundredths of the finish's whole scale.
Line the Covert AWPs up by price in this wear and the Printstream takes sixth place of eighteen, with five finishes cheaper and twelve dearer. AWP | Neo-Noir sits almost level with it, and AWP | Wildfire and AWP | Containment Breach go a little higher. Below it, AWP | Chromatic Aberration and AWP | LongDog are cheaper by a tenth or slightly more.
Getting the AWP | Printstream
The Fever Case hands out the AWP | Printstream on equal terms with the other finishes of the set.
For a trade-up to produce the AWP | Printstream, you put in ten Classified skins from one collection. The Fever Collection has two Covert finishes, so the odds on this AWP are one in two.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The AWP | Printstream has a StatTrak version. No souvenir packages were released for this finish: those were made only for tournament map collections. A souvenir copy can still be built by hand, though. The Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from the inventory. That is why the odd souvenir copy turns up even where no packages ever existed.
Stickers and craft on the AWP | Printstream
For a CS2 craft it matters that the large mark on the side of the receiver stays readable even on a worn rifle. It is better not to cover it. Colored stickers show up on the white, while gray and light ones merge with the grayed edges.
Who this wear suits
Buying the AWP | Printstream in Well-Worn is reasonable in these cases:
- you want a Covert AWP for CS2 at the lowest price of the five wears;
- it is enough that the black-and-white graphics are recognizable and the gray edges do not bother you;
- you will not have to pick a listing by float, since the band is narrow.
An intact white body means going up to Factory New, and that asks four times as much.
