The Charm | 8 Ball IGL is an Extraordinary charm from the Dr Boom Charm Collection. In its set it ranks second of twenty-two by price.
What the Charm | 8 Ball IGL looks like
The body is round and black, with a cream number 8 on its side, like a billiard ball. The figure stands on two small black sneakers with cream laces and soles.
A cap with a ring sticks out of the top, and pointed ears flank the sides. A blue patch with lettering sits on one side, only partly visible. The look is built from black and cream, and the blue is the single color accent.
Where the Charm | 8 Ball IGL came from
This charm is part of the Dr Boom Charm Collection. Charms became a separate category of items on October 2, 2024, with The Armory update.
There is no story behind this one. Valve's description covers only the mechanics of charms and says nothing about this particular charm.
How the charm works
The charm hangs on weapons and on C4 skins, and it does not go on knives or gloves. Use the Charm Detachment tool to take it off, and it comes back to the CS2 inventory whole.
A weapon has one charm mount, and Sticker Slab takes it too, so it will not coexist with the 8 Ball IGL on one weapon. The ball is a three-dimensional model with physics and swings when you run and in sharp turns.
Pattern number
Every copy has its own pattern number, shown on inspect. The number does not change how the charm looks. It is a collector's mark.
What the Charm | 8 Ball IGL costs
Only one charm in the Dr Boom Charm Collection costs more: Charm | Butane Buddy, by almost four times.
Charm | Lil' Ferno and Charm | Glitter Bomb are two and a half times cheaper, and Charm | Lil' Yeti almost eight times.
Who it suits
The 8 Ball IGL is worth buying for CS2 when:
- you want a black and cream charm that suits a dark weapon;
- you are collecting the top of the Dr Boom Charm Collection;
- the gap to third place within the set is huge, while second place costs noticeably less than first.
