Charm | Die-cast AK

Charm | Die-cast AK is a Remarkable charm from the Small Arms Charm Collection. By price it is fifth of the set's sixteen charms, counting from the dearest down.

What the Charm | Die-cast AK looks like

The charm is a miniature AK-47 in glossy metal. In the item's image it is purple and shimmers, but the color depends on the pattern number.

The rifle hangs by its receiver on a silvery ring with a thin golden edging. The silhouette is recognizable at once: curved magazine, stock, front sight. On a light weapon the charm stands out by contrast.

Where the Charm | Die-cast AK came from

The Small Arms Charm Collection, which includes Die-cast AK, appeared together with charms: October 2, 2024, in The Armory update.

Valve publishes no history for Die-cast AK, so there is nothing to retell here.

How the charm works

Die-cast AK hangs on a weapon or a C4 skin, and knives and gloves do not accept it. The Charm Detachment tool takes it back off, and the charm returns to the CS2 inventory intact.

A weapon has one charm slot, and Sticker Slab goes into the same one, so Die-cast AK and Sticker Slab don't combine on one barrel. The miniature rifle hangs as a 3D model and sways as you run and turn.

Pattern number

Each copy has its own pattern number, which inspection shows. Here it is more than a collector's marker: the number changes the charm's color, and rare number ranges cost more. Sources disagree on the range boundaries, so no specific numbers are given.

What the Charm | Die-cast AK costs

Of the sixteen charms in the Small Arms Charm Collection, Die-cast AK ranks fifth. Charm | Titeenium AWP is dearer by about a quarter, while Charm | Baby Karat CT and Charm | Semi-Precious are dearer by more than three times.

Below it, Charm | Lil' Squirt is cheaper by almost half, Charm | Glamour Shot by more than three times, and Charm | POP Art by five times. The spread also reflects the pattern number: rare ranges lift the price.

Who it suits

Die-cast AK makes sense for CS2 if:

• you want a rifle-shaped charm, and the name "Die-cast AK" says it all;
• a color that depends on the pattern number matters to you, along with a collector's hunt for rare numbers;
• you are collecting the Small Arms Charm Collection from the upper price tier.
