Chem-Haz Capitaine | Gendarmerie Nationale

The Chem-Haz Capitaine | Gendarmerie Nationale is a Superior Counter-Terrorist agent from the Operation Riptide Agents collection. On price it sits in the middle of the row: thirteenth of twenty-one.

What the Chem-Haz Capitaine | Gendarmerie Nationale looks like

The agent is covered from head to toe: a dark blue helmet with a clear visor and a golden emblem, and a black gas mask with a large blue filter. The mask lenses catch green and orange.

The armor is heavy and black, with massive shoulder pads. One shoulder carries a colored patch, and a white plate reading GENDARMERIE sits on the chest. A yellow-and-black radio unit is visible on the belt. The only spots of color are the blue helmet and filter.

Where the Chem-Haz Capitaine | Gendarmerie Nationale came from

The agent was released on September 22, 2021, when the game received Operation Riptide Agents and Operation Riptide.

Valve describes the captain as the one who leads gendarmerie operations against chemical and biological threats in built-up areas. He is held up as a model of composure and is credited with saving every civilian at an airport during a gas attack in 1997. The last line of the entry reminds you to keep breathing.

What the agent does in game

An agent can be chosen only for its own side, and this one shows only on the Counter-Terrorist team. It neither helps nor hinders play: hitboxes, damage and accuracy stay the same.

The item exists in a single version, so there are no copies to compare.

Which gloves go with it

The sleeves come from the agent, the gloves cover the hands, and the player sees the two together. The captain's sleeves are dark, so gloves read clearly against them.

Gloves without a large pattern look best. Black, graphite or dark blue pairs support the armor. Pale gloves on a black sleeve stand out too much, and cold gray-blue tones echo the helmet.

What the Chem-Haz Capitaine | Gendarmerie Nationale costs

In the row of twenty-one agents in Operation Riptide Agents it takes thirteenth place. Col. Mangos Dabisi | Guerrilla Warfare costs about a quarter more, and 'Medium Rare' Crasswater | Guerrilla Warfare about a fifth more.

Jungle Rebel | Elite Crew is ten percent higher. Closest from below is Chef d'Escadron Rouchard | Gendarmerie Nationale, cheaper by only a few percent, then Crasswater The Forgotten | Guerrilla Warfare and Officer Jacques Beltram | Gendarmerie Nationale.

Who it suits

This agent is worth buying for CS2 in these cases:

• you want an agent whose armor and gas mask show, with no face;

• you are putting together an Operation Riptide Agents set with a gendarmerie squad;

• you play the Counter-Terrorist side and want dark gear to go with black weapons.
