In Minimal Wear (MW) the Desert Eagle | Blaze is the last of the finish's two wears and the most expensive among Restricted Desert Eagle skins. Its band runs from 0.07 to 0.08: the skin's float ceiling is 0.08, so Factory New is the only other wear. The skin is Restricted and belongs to The Dust Collection. For CS2, this pistol is available in those two wears only.
What the Desert Eagle | Blaze looks like in Minimal Wear
Paint covers the front half of the pistol. The front of the slide, the ring at the muzzle and the rail under the barrel are bright orange-gold, with dark red flames rising over them, outlined in black. The serrated rear of the slide, the back of the frame, the trigger guard, the grip and the magazine stay black; the paint boundary runs roughly through the middle of the slide.
Valve's description: transparent paints airbrushed over a chrome base. Chrome glints through them, giving the fire depth. In Minimal Wear the wear is still slight. The teeth of the rail under the barrel and the rim of the muzzle ring lighten first, then the ribs of the slide. The flat side holds the artwork longest.
Where the Desert Eagle | Blaze came from
The Desert Eagle | Blaze came out of Valve, not the Steam Workshop, so it has no outside author and no submission. The skin appeared in August 2013 together with The Dust Collection and has number 37 in Valve's catalog; finishes from recent years already have four-digit numbers.
Where the flame sits on the slide
The paint is airbrushed, and the transition between painted and black falls in a different place on different copies. Since float in this wear is locked between 0.07 and 0.08, the artwork is what remains as the main difference between listings.
What to check before buying
Before buying the Desert Eagle | Blaze, check the following:
- where the flames sit and the boundary between orange and black;
- the name tag and stickers, if they are already on this Desert Eagle | Blaze;
- float: there is almost nothing to choose by, since the stretch from 0.07 to 0.08 is short.
What the Desert Eagle | Blaze costs in Minimal Wear
The finish has one neighboring wear: Factory New is 1.35 times cheaper. The scale explains the gap: Minimal Wear takes 12% of the float range, 0.01 of 0.08, and Factory New almost all the rest.
Among Restricted Desert Eagle skins in this wear, the Blaze ranks first by price: the other fourteen sit below it. Closest are both Sunset Storm skins and the Desert Eagle | Hand Cannon, which are 1.6 to 1.9 times cheaper. The Desert Eagle | Emerald Jörmungandr is 2.1 times cheaper, and the Desert Eagle | Pilot seven times.
Getting the Desert Eagle | Blaze
The Desert Eagle | Blaze does not drop from cases. Getting it through a trade-up means handing in ten skins from the rank below. The AUG | Copperhead, the AWP | Snake Camo and the Sawed-Off | Copper from the skin's own set are among the options. The collection has three Restricted skins. With all ten from it, the odds of getting the Desert Eagle in the trade are one in three. The flame position on the result is random.
StatTrak and Souvenir
Valve never released a StatTrak version of the Desert Eagle | Blaze. There are no Souvenir packages for this finish, but a Souvenir copy can be built through the Souvenir-O-Matic.
Stickers and craft on the Desert Eagle | Blaze
The fire on the front half of the slide is better left uncovered: the whole design lives there. The black rear and the frame take light stickers, while yellow and orange ones get lost on the flames.
Who this wear suits
The Desert Eagle | Blaze in Minimal Wear is justified in these cases:
- you want a Desert Eagle for CS2 with a pattern you have checked yourself: the flame position varies in both wears, and in Minimal Wear listings differ by exactly that;
- a specific flame layout on the slide matters more than float;
- the chrome under the paint should keep its shine: at 0.07 to 0.08, wear is minimal.
