The Desert Eagle | Blue Ply in Battle-Scarred (BS) is a Deagle whose slide is painted to look like a cross-section of plywood. It is a Mil-Spec skin from The Prisma 2 Collection, found in the Prisma 2 Case, and it suits both sides in CS2. The wear covers floats from 0.45 to 1.00, which is 55% of the skin's scale.
What the Desert Eagle | Blue Ply looks like in Battle-Scarred
The slide looks like the end of a plywood sheet: layers of wood pattern in bright blue and dark blue, with white and light-blue veins between them. The grain lines close into rings around several "knots." Front and back carry even blue-and-white stripes, like a glued stack.
The grip panel is light and creamy gray, like unpainted wood, with black grain. It is the sharpest color break on the model. Valve describes the grip as ash and the slide as blue.
Wear is fixed at drop. In Battle-Scarred it differs from listing to listing: the 0.45 to 1.00 band is wide, and the difference between its edges shows on inspection.
Where the Desert Eagle | Blue Ply came from
The skin belongs to The Prisma 2 Collection, which Valve added to the game on March 31, 2020, in the Cleaning Out the Cobwebs update. The skin arrived in that same update.
What to check before buying
Listings of the Desert Eagle | Blue Ply are compared on these points:
- float: the closer to 1.00, the heavier the wear, and the band is long;
- a name tag and stickers, if they are already on this Desert Eagle | Blue Ply;
- version: regular or StatTrak with a counter, which are separate items.
The Desert Eagle | Blue Ply has no two different patterns, so pattern plays no part in the choice.
What the Desert Eagle | Blue Ply costs in Battle-Scarred
This is the cheapest wear of the skin. Factory New costs 10.59 times more, Minimal Wear almost twice as much, and Field-Tested 10% more. Well-Worn costs the same.
Among the nine Mil-Spec Desert Eagles in this wear, three cost less and five cost more. Next to it are Urban Rubble, The Daily Deagle and Mint Fan. Above come Oxide Blaze and Calligraffiti. Costliest are Bronze Deco, Sputnik and Night Heist, the last by tens of times.
Getting the Desert Eagle | Blue Ply
The skin drops from the Prisma 2 Case. A trade-up cannot produce it: it is the lowest rank of the collection, and nothing sits below it. From the skin itself, though, a contract leads to P2000 | Acid Etched, Sawed-Off | Apocalypto and other skins of a higher rank.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The Desert Eagle | Blue Ply has a StatTrak version. There are no ready-made Souvenir copies; one can only be made through the Souvenir-O-Matic.
Stickers and craft on the Desert Eagle | Blue Ply
The slide is busy, and its large, contrasting pattern means a sticker there competes with the grain. The light grip is calmer: dark stickers read better on it than on the slide.
Who this wear suits
The Desert Eagle | Blue Ply in Battle-Scarred makes sense for these jobs:
- you want a Deagle with a large blue pattern at the lowest price among the skin's wears;
- you want to pick a copy by float within the long 0.45 to 1.00 band;
- you are building a set around The Prisma 2 Collection.
