Description

What the Desert Eagle | Firebreathing looks like in Minimal Wear

This is the Desert Eagle | Firebreathing in Minimal Wear (MW), and at this float the purple-and-blue flame still keeps its color on the edges. The float band is 0.07 to 0.15. It is Restricted rank; the finish belongs to The Dead Hand Collection, and the Desert Eagle drops from the Sealed Dead Hand Terminal.

Where the Desert Eagle | Firebreathing came from

Despite the name, there is no orange fire on the pistol. Tongues of flame in purple, lilac and light blue rise over a dark gray base. The pattern runs from the bottom of the frame to the top of the slide and covers both sides. The magazine and grip are kept in the same palette, and almost no bare metal is left. Turquoise highlights sit near the muzzle and on the trigger guard. The edges of the flames are ragged and overlap in places, and there is no lettering in the pattern.

In Minimal Wear the paint gives out in spots. The slide edge and the corners of the grip lighten: the purple there wears back to the gray base, and the turquoise highlight on the guard goes out first. The flat surfaces of the slide and frame stay untouched, and the transitions from lilac to light blue read in full. Toward 0.07 the wear has to be searched for by eye.

What to check before buying

The finish's author is react, and the work came from the Steam Workshop: the submission "Desert Eagle | Fire-breathing" was posted on December 12, 2024. The game received the Dead Hand Collection on March 11, 2026. In the note for that update Valve listed 17 finishes by Workshop authors and 22 new gloves as the rare special items. In Valve's catalog the finish is number 1430.

What the Desert Eagle | Firebreathing costs in Minimal Wear

Choosing a particular Desert Eagle | Firebreathing comes down to these points:

  • float: near 0.07 the slide edge is still in paint, at the upper bound it is gray;

  • stickers and an applied name tag: on the Desert Eagle | Firebreathing they pass along with the lot;

  • the turquoise highlights near the muzzle — on the raised part they give out earlier than the large flames.

Copies of the Desert Eagle | Firebreathing differ only in wear: the pattern is shared. In this wear the skin occupies a tight 0.07 to 0.15 band, where the difference between lots is hard to catch.

Getting the Desert Eagle | Firebreathing

Prices diverge across the wears like this:

  • Factory New costs almost three times as much;

  • Field-Tested is almost twice as cheap;

  • Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred are two and a half times cheaper.

The two lowest wears cost almost the same, so choosing between them saves nothing. The whole premium is concentrated in the upper half of the scale.

Among Restricted Desert Eagles, the Desert Eagle | Firebreathing in this wear is third from the bottom of fifteen. Desert Eagle | Trigger Discipline costs almost the same, and only Desert Eagle | Serpent Strike costs less. Higher up come Desert Eagle | Light Rail, Desert Eagle | Naga and Desert Eagle | Mulberry. The top of the rank is held by Desert Eagle | Blaze, which costs hundreds of times more.

StatTrak and Souvenir

No other case holds this finish: there is a single source, the collection's case. The Desert Eagle | Firebreathing also comes from a trade-up: ten skins one rank lower go into the contract.

Stickers and craft on the Desert Eagle | Firebreathing

The Desert Eagle | Firebreathing has both a StatTrak version and a Souvenir variant.

Who this wear suits

The finish has two flat areas for a craft: the frame below the flames and the magazine. Both sides of the slide are taken up by flames, and the ragged edges of the pattern cut across a sticker's outline, so small rectangular stickers get lost on it. Cold colors sink into the background; contrast comes from a light or warm sticker. The cleaner the float, the more a craft mistake costs.

Buying the Desert Eagle | Firebreathing here makes sense under these conditions:

  • you want a nearly clean finish without the triple premium for Factory New;

  • the Desert Eagle is headed for a CS2 inventory to be inspected, not for every round of CS2;

  • predictability matters: within 0.07 to 0.15 the copies resemble one another.

If you need an even shimmer across the whole frame, with no gray edges, look at Factory New. The price difference between these two wears is almost threefold.
