The Desert Eagle | Night in Minimal Wear (MW) is solid dark-gray paint in a military night palette, barely touched by wear. The float range of this wear is 0.07 to 0.15. Industrial Grade is the rank, and the Chop Shop Collection is the home of the pistol.
What the Desert Eagle | Night looks like in Minimal Wear
The finish is assembled from single-color parts. The slide and frame are dark gray, the grip is almost black, and near the hammer and the safety there is a cold gray-green tint. There is no artwork and no shine, and the surface is flat and matte.
In Minimal Wear the paint covers the body almost entirely, and scuffs are limited to the edges. The finish's minimum float is 0.06, so Factory New occupies only the stretch from 0.06 to 0.07, one hundredth of the scale.
Where the Desert Eagle | Night came from
The Chop Shop Collection arrived in the game with this pistol on May 26, 2015. Valve's note on the operation followed two days later and is devoted to Operation Bloodhound.
What to check before buying
Before taking the Desert Eagle | Night, look at these points:
- float: the band is short, 0.07 to 0.15, and its share of the finish's scale is about one ninth;
- the edge of the slide and the trigger guard, where the first pale marks appear;
- a name tag and stickers: on this Deagle they stay with the lot.
Artwork gives you nothing to choose between on this skin. In this wear the band is a short 0.07 to 0.15, so chasing the number makes little sense.
What the Desert Eagle | Night costs in Minimal Wear
The remaining wears measured against this one:
- Factory New costs about 3.7 times as much;
- Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred are each cheaper by about half.
Below Minimal Wear the three wears cost almost the same. Only Factory New is dearer.
Among the six Industrial Grade Desert Eagles, the finish in this wear is second by price. Only Desert Eagle | Midnight Storm is higher, and the gap to it is small. From the other four it is separated by a gap of several times.
Getting the Desert Eagle | Night
The Desert Eagle | Night is in no CS2 case.
Ten skins from one rank lower in this set can be traded up into the Desert Eagle | Night. The Chop Shop Collection has three Industrial Grade skins, so the trade returns one of three.
StatTrak and Souvenir
A StatTrak version of the Desert Eagle | Night was never released. Souvenir copies exist, but there were no packages for this finish, since those were made only for tournament map collections. Such copies are built through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from the inventory.
Stickers and craft on the Desert Eagle | Night
A dark single-color base with almost whole paint holds stickers cleanly: the edge of a sticker does not fight the background, and the slide keeps a wide smooth plane. Light and colored stickers read better on it than dark ones.
Who this wear suits
Buying the Desert Eagle | Night in this wear makes sense when:
- you want dark paint with a minimum of pale patches for a CS2 set;
- a float closer to 0.07 matters, but paying 3.7 times more for Factory New does not appeal;
- a craft needs a flat, clean surface.
If scratches along the edges are tolerable, the three lower wears cost half as much and barely differ from each other in price.
