Description

The Desert Eagle | Sputnik in Field-Tested (FT) is a Mil-Spec Deagle from The 2021 Train Collection. Its float runs from 0.15 to 0.38, which is almost half of the skin's scale. It plays for both sides.

What the Desert Eagle | Sputnik looks like in Field-Tested

The pistol is painted in flat geometric blocks: rectangles and trapezoids of different lightness lie over a fine mesh texture. The slide is dark blue, almost inky, with pale blue and gray-white blocks. On the top edge of the slide sits a small mustard-yellow rectangle.

The frame and grip are lighter: gray-blue, with white and blue tiles and a yellow accent. The front cut of the slide and the muzzle are almost purely dark. Up close you can see a diagonal screen like graph paper, and on the grip a light patch of irregular shape with a halo.

The dark slide gives away wear sooner than the light tiles. Scuffing shows on the edges and on dark areas, where light metal contrasts with the paint.

What to check before buying

What matters when buying a Desert Eagle | Sputnik:

  • float: listings within 0.15 to 0.38 differ noticeably in look;

  • a name tag and stickers already carried by this Desert Eagle | Sputnik.

The pattern index changes nothing on the Desert Eagle | Sputnik: every copy has the same artwork. Choose by the float number here, not by the wear label.

What the Desert Eagle | Sputnik costs in Field-Tested

This is the cheapest wear of the skin. Battle-Scarred costs 1.1 times more, Well-Worn 1.1 times more, Minimal Wear 1.7 times more, and Factory New almost six times more.

Of the eleven Mil-Spec Deagles in Field-Tested, the skin ranks second by price. Only Night Heist is above it. Meteorite is cheaper by about a third, while Corinthian and Oxide Blaze cost almost a third as much.

Getting the Desert Eagle | Sputnik

The Desert Eagle | Sputnik has never been in a case. A contract cannot produce it: it is the lowest rank of The 2021 Train Collection, and the set has no skins below it.

StatTrak and Souvenir

This skin has neither a StatTrak version nor a Souvenir one.

Stickers and craft on the Desert Eagle | Sputnik

The blocks and the fine grid cover the whole slide, but the muzzle and the front cut stay dark and clean. Stickers read better on the dark areas, while on the light tiles of the frame the artwork gets in their way.

Who this wear suits

Buying the Desert Eagle | Sputnik in this wear makes sense if:

  • you want a Deagle with a geometric pattern in blue and gray tones for CS2;

  • Factory New is too expensive, and wear within 0.15 to 0.38 does not scare you;

  • float matters more than the wear label, and you choose by the number.
