Description

Field-Tested (FT) is the middle of the wear scale for the Desert Eagle | Trigger Discipline: the band from 0.15 to 0.38 takes 24% of the full float range. Its rank is Restricted, and it belongs to The Snakebite Collection. This Deagle shows noticeable but not heavy wear, and in CS2 it sits in the middle of the scale.

What the Desert Eagle | Trigger Discipline looks like in Field-Tested

The barrel and the front half of the slide are pink, scattered with black and white diamonds set in an isometric grid. The frame, the grip and the tail of the slide are black. The hammer and the sight are blue, and the finish's name is written on the slide in white on a blue strip.

In Field-Tested the wear is already noticeable, yet the pattern reads whole: the diamonds are in place, and the scuffs gather along the edges and facets. The float is fixed at the drop and never changes, so a listing near 0.15 will always look fresher than one near 0.38.

Where the Desert Eagle | Trigger Discipline came from

This Deagle entered the game on May 4, 2021, when The Snakebite Collection was added. The update was called The End of Broken Fang: Valve opened a case of 17 community finishes and made the Broken Fang gloves its rare special items.

What to check before buying

Choosing one particular copy rests on these points:

  • float: the stretch of the scale here is 0.15 to 0.38;

  • stickers on the Desert Eagle and a rename, if there is one;

  • the item version: StatTrak exists for this finish and is sold as a separate listing.

The pattern is not rolled: all copies are alike. Between 0.15 and 0.38 sits the kind of difference that makes it worth comparing several listings.

What the Desert Eagle | Trigger Discipline costs in Field-Tested

Measured against Field-Tested, the other wears price out as follows:

  • Factory New is 6.92 times dearer;

  • Minimal Wear is 2.21 times dearer;

  • Well-Worn is 1.41 times cheaper;

  • Battle-Scarred is 1.41 times cheaper.

At the top, the gap rests on the thin Factory New band, while at the bottom Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred cost the same. Field-Tested turns out to be the point below which wear stops getting cheaper.

Lined up with the other Restricted Desert Eagles in this wear, the skin is one step off the bottom. Only Serpent Strike is cheaper, and Firebreathing, Light Rail, Directive and Naga cost more. At the upper edge of the line stand Hand Cannon and both Sunset Storm finishes.

Getting the Desert Eagle | Trigger Discipline

The main route is the Snakebite Case. Besides the case there is trade-up: the contract takes ten Mil-Spec skins from any collections and returns a Restricted skin from the collection of one of the inputs.

If all ten come from The Snakebite Collection, the pick is among that set's five Restricted skins, and this one comes out one time in five.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The Desert Eagle | Trigger Discipline has a StatTrak version, and there are no Souvenir packages for the finish.

Stickers and craft on the Desert Eagle | Trigger Discipline

The diamond pattern takes up the whole front half of the pistol, so stickers compete with it. Crafts look calmer on the black side: the color of the grip and the tail of the slide does not change from wear as visibly as the pink does. The blue parts on the hammer and sight hint at the palette: cool stickers go with pink and black without extra noise.

Who this wear suits

Field-Tested is worth buying on this Deagle if:

  • you want a pink and black Deagle whose pattern still reads whole;

  • Factory New costs 6.92 times as much, and the look of the pistol does not call for that difference;

  • the choice is among floats between 0.15 and 0.38, and you want the best listing on that stretch.

If you want less scuffing, the next step is Minimal Wear, which costs 2.21 times more.
