The Five-SeveN | Boost Protocol in Field-Tested (FT) is a white-and-black Five-SeveN with scarlet graphics, for CS2. It is Restricted rank, belongs to the Operation Riptide Collection and drops from the Operation Riptide Case. The float scale in this wear runs from 0.15 to 0.38.
What the Five-SeveN | Boost Protocol looks like in Field-Tested
The front of the slide is black, the middle light gray and the rear white with a scarlet design. A chopped scarlet "BOOST" lettering stands on the black field, with a strip beneath it carrying a white and a red star and a small wing icon. Thin red lines run alongside like traces on a circuit board. At the back of the slide sits an angular orange-and-gray pattern. It looks like a stylized face or wing, but it is hard to say more.
The frame is white with red notches, and the grip is a dark gray-brown. The graphics are concentrated on the slide and the upper frame, while the lower grip and the trigger guard are plain. Wear is fixed at drop: in Field-Tested the paint on the edges of the slide and frame is already touched.
Where the Five-SeveN | Boost Protocol came from
Valve calls the paint job high-contrast and notes that the robot icon under the rear sight matches the artwork on the slide. The call sign on the item is MECHA 0272. The skin came out on September 22, 2021, together with the Operation Riptide Collection.
What to check before buying
A Five-SeveN | Boost Protocol listing is chosen on these points:
- float: across the 0.15 to 0.38 band you find both clean and heavily scuffed copies, and those near 0.15 are cleaner;
- the name tag and stickers this Five-SeveN | Boost Protocol already carries;
- version: the skin has a StatTrak variant, and it is a separate item.
The artwork is applied identically across the whole run, so there is no pattern to choose by.
What the Five-SeveN | Boost Protocol costs in Field-Tested
Factory New costs three times as much, and Minimal Wear one and a half times as much. Well-Worn also costs about one and a half times more than Field-Tested. The band of that wear is narrow, 0.38 to 0.41.
Among Restricted Five-SeveNs the skin sits mid-ladder in this wear. Heat Treated, Triumvirate, Retrobution, Buddy and Hybrid cost less. Case Hardened, Copper Galaxy and Neon Kimono cost more.
Getting the Five-SeveN | Boost Protocol
The case that carries it is the Operation Riptide Case. Besides the case, a trade-up of ten skins from the rank below, from the same collection, also yields the Five-SeveN | Boost Protocol.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The Five-SeveN | Boost Protocol has a StatTrak version. There are no Souvenir packages.
Stickers and craft on the Five-SeveN | Boost Protocol
The slide is densely filled with lettering, lines and stars, so a sticker there will cover part of the graphics. The cleanest spots are on the white frame, where the background is even, and the red notches along the edge frame small stickers.
Who this wear suits
The Five-SeveN | Boost Protocol in Field-Tested is worth buying if:
- you want a contrasting white-and-black pistol with red graphics for the CT side;
- the 0.15 to 0.38 band suits you and price matters, since Minimal Wear is noticeably pricier;
- you want a skin with "BOOST" on the slide and a StatTrak version in reserve.
