Description

For the Five-SeveN | Hybrid, Field-Tested (FT) costs more than both of the wears below it on the scale. The band of this wear lies between 0.15 and 0.38. Restricted rank; the pistol drops from the Kilowatt Case. Nothing in the Restricted rank for this model is cheaper than this paint.

What the Five-SeveN | Hybrid looks like in Field-Tested

The base is white-silver, with a pearlescent sheen. Across the slide and frame run saturated purple stripes, shading into lilac in places. The strokes are uneven and thicken toward the middle, the edges of the stripes are ragged, with thin drips. The rear of the slide is left dark gray, and the magazine and the bottom of the grip are silver. The factory markings show through the paint on the frame. Valve describes the paint briefly: a silver base and bright purple stripes.

The light base gets dirty first, and in Field-Tested it is already gray at the corners of the frame. The purple stripes on the edge of the slide wear down to gray, and bald patches spread inward from the edge. There is no artwork on the body apart from the stripes, so wear shows at once and in full.

Where the Five-SeveN | Hybrid came from

The paint was drawn by a Steam Workshop artist who goes by Pet3d. The Kilowatt Collection arrived in the game on February 6, 2024. Valve built a case from seventeen community works and put a Kukri Knife in it as the rare item. In Valve's skin catalog this design is number 1168.

What to check before buying

Before buying the Five-SeveN | Hybrid, check the following:

  • the float within 0.15 to 0.38: near the upper limit the gray base already covers half the frame;

  • the state of the stripes on the edge of the slide: that is where the purple comes off earliest;

  • stickers and a name tag that the Five-SeveN | Hybrid has from a previous owner.

In this wear the Five-SeveN | Hybrid is the 0.15 to 0.38 band, and listings from the two ends of it look different. All copies of the Five-SeveN | Hybrid carry the same pattern.

What the Five-SeveN | Hybrid costs in Field-Tested

Factory New costs six times as much, and Minimal Wear almost twice as much. That is the whole premium for a clean look on this paint.

Going down, the step is short: Well-Worn is about a sixth cheaper, and Battle-Scarred about a tenth cheaper. The order among the three dirty wears rests on a couple of individual listings, not on the condition of the body, and no rule should be drawn from it.

Among the Restricted skins of this model, the Five-SeveN | Hybrid is the cheapest of nine. Closest is Five-SeveN | Buddy, then come Five-SeveN | Retrobution and Five-SeveN | Triumvirate, and the top of the rank is held by Five-SeveN | Neon Kimono.

Getting the Five-SeveN | Hybrid

The pistol drops from the Kilowatt Case; no other case has this paint.

To trade up into the Five-SeveN | Hybrid, you need ten skins one rank down. Nova | Dark Sigil, Tec-9 | Slag or UMP-45 | Motorized will do. With all ten inputs taken from this set, the Kilowatt Collection has five Restricted skins, so the chance of landing this pistol is one in five. The Five-SeveN | Hybrid itself also goes in as an input. Contracts built from such skins lead to the M4A1-S | Black Lotus, Zeus x27 | Olympus and USP-S | Jawbreaker.

StatTrak and Souvenir

Stickers and craft on the Five-SeveN | Hybrid

The Five-SeveN | Hybrid has a StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages were released for this paint: those were made only for tournament map collections. But you can build a Souvenir copy yourself: the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player's autograph on an ordinary skin from the inventory. So the odd Souvenir copy turns up now and then even where no packages ever existed.

The light base is convenient for a sticker: dark and colored artwork reads on the pearlescent finish without a backing. There is not much flat space, and stickers usually go on the frame under the slide, off to the side of the stripes. On worn areas part of a sticker leaves together with the paint, so an expensive craft is not built on Field-Tested.

Who this wear suits

Buying the Five-SeveN | Hybrid in Field-Tested makes sense when at least one of these applies:

  • you want a Restricted pistol in CS2 at the bottom edge of the rank;

  • there is no reason to pay six times as much for Factory New;

  • the skin is bought for a contract, not for a CS2 display.

At 0.15 the stripes on the slide are still intact; at 0.38 the base is gray almost everywhere. The difference inside the wear is visible, so the float number on a listing is worth checking.
