Galil AR | Chatterbox (Well-Worn)

Well-Worn (WW) on the Galil AR | Chatterbox is the middle one of the three wears that exist. The skin belongs to the Chroma Collection, is Covert, and drops from the Chroma Case. By float this wear covers 0.38 to 0.45, which is 14% of a scale running from 0.35 to 0.85.

What the Galil AR | Chatterbox looks like in Well-Worn

The Galil is painted yellow with black stripes that lie in bands on the stock and magazine. The handguard and grip are brown. On the receiver cover sits a pale skull which, in Valve's description, seems to chatter its teeth as the bolt moves.

Valve calls the work hand-painted with aging, so scuffing is built into the artwork. In Well-Worn the wear of the grade comes on top: paint comes off the edges and corners, though less than in Battle-Scarred.

Where the Galil AR | Chatterbox came from

The Chroma Collection opened in the game in January 2015, and the Galil AR | Chatterbox was in it from day one. We have no information about the author or a Steam Workshop submission, so the skin's story comes down to what Valve's description says about the skull.

What to check before buying

On the Galil AR | Chatterbox, this is what changes from lot to lot:

• the float within 0.38 to 0.45;

• the skull on the cover and the yellow field around it;

• a name tag and stickers, which go with the lot.

The artwork is one for all copies. The scale gives this wear just 0.38 to 0.45, which keeps the copies close to one another.

What the Galil AR | Chatterbox costs in Well-Worn

Field-Tested costs 1.5 times more, and Battle-Scarred is 1.1 times cheaper. Factory New and Minimal Wear do not occur for this skin. Well-Worn sits closer to the lower wear than to the upper one.

Among Covert Galils this finish is the only one, so it cannot be set against neighbors in a row.

Getting the Galil AR | Chatterbox

The Chroma Case is the only one this Galil drops from.

The Galil AR | Chatterbox is assembled by a contract of ten skins one step down. The skins a rank below in the collection are AK-47 | Cartel, M4A4 | 龍王 (Dragon King) and P250 | Muertos. With two Covert skins and all ten from this set, the chance is one in two.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The Galil AR | Chatterbox has a StatTrak version. Souvenir packages for this finish were never issued, since those were made only for the tournament map collections. But you can assemble a souvenir copy yourself: the Souvenir-O-Matic attaches gold tournament stickers and a player autograph to a regular skin in the inventory.

Stickers and craft on the Galil AR | Chatterbox

On the yellow base, black and white stickers read, while orange and yellow ones vanish. There are few even spots for a craft: the brown handguard panel and the grip. The skull on the receiver cover should be covered last.

Who this wear suits

Well-Worn is a buy for the Galil AR | Chatterbox if at least one of these fits:

• you want a Covert Galil for CS2, and Field-Tested costs one and a half times more;

• predictability matters: the 0.38 to 0.45 band is tight, and lots hardly differ;

• you want a more intact skin than Battle-Scarred, at a surcharge of about a tenth.

If you need the paint to be more intact, look at Field-Tested: it costs 1.5 times more.
