For the Glock-18 | Block-18, Battle-Scarred (BS) is cut off at the top. The finish's float ends at 0.67, so the band from 0.45 to 0.67 takes 33% of the scale. The rank is Restricted, and the Kilowatt Case is the source. In BS the finish costs less than every other Restricted Glock but one.
What the Glock-18 | Block-18 looks like in Battle-Scarred
This is a pistol that seems put together from plastic toy bricks. The main tone is white and light gray, with flecks of blue, red, yellow and dark gray blocks. The slide is covered in smooth rectangular tiles of white, gray and black. A blue stripe runs along the top edge, and yellow blocks stand at the muzzle and at the back edge. On the grip and the front of the frame the bricks are raised, with convex studs. The inscription "GLOCK" reads on the dark tile of the slide. Valve speaks of a weapon broken into colored blocks.
The studs are the most prominent points of the pattern, so on Battle-Scarred they are rubbed away first, on the grip and the front of the frame. The slide edges and the corners of the colored blocks follow, while the broad white tiles of the side stay smooth longer. The wear is locked in at the drop and does not progress.
Where the Glock-18 | Block-18 came from
The artist is Graff. The Workshop submission was called "Block-18 (Mondrian)" and was posted on August 30, 2023. The Glock itself reached the game on February 6, 2024, with the release of The Kilowatt Collection. By Valve's note, the case was put together from seventeen community finishes, with the Kukri Knife added as the rare special item. The finish's number in the catalog is 1167.
What to check before buying
What to compare when choosing a Glock-18 | Block-18:
- float within 0.45 to 0.67: near the upper bound almost no studs are left on the grip;
- the condition of the colored block corners on the slide;
- stickers and a name tag left on the Glock by the previous owner.
The scale of this wear runs between 0.45 and 0.67. From 0.45 to 0.67 the scuffing builds up noticeably. There is no "rare" pattern to buy: every copy has the same artwork.
What the Glock-18 | Block-18 costs in Battle-Scarred
Factory New costs about three times as much as Battle-Scarred, Minimal Wear about two fifths more. Field-Tested is cheaper by a few percent, and Well-Worn by about a fifth. The floor of the scale falls on Well-Worn, not on this wear.
Of the Restricted Glocks, the Block-18 in BS is cheaper than all but Glock-18 | Umbral Rabbit. Above it stand Glock-18 | Glockingbird and Glock-18 | Trace Lock. Further up are Glock-18 | Moonrise and Glock-18 | Weasel. The top of the line is held by Glock-18 | Brass, Glock-18 | Pink DDPAT and Glock-18 | Synth Leaf.
Getting the Glock-18 | Block-18
The skin drops from the Kilowatt Case. The second route is a trade-up: ten Mil-Spec skins, with the result's collection decided by the inputs. Ten from The Kilowatt Collection alone leave five Restricted finishes in the pool, and this Glock gets one chance in five.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The Glock-18 | Block-18 has a StatTrak version. There are no Souvenir packages for this finish.
Stickers and craft on the Glock-18 | Block-18
White smooth tiles on the slide give a sticker a clean field. The studs on the grip and the frame make the surface uneven, and a sticker has little room there. In CS2 the colored blocks along the slide's edges compete with bright stickers.
Who this wear suits
Battle-Scarred is reasonable when at least one of these holds:
- you want a Restricted Glock at the very bottom of the prices;
- the toy look of the finish matters more than clean studs;
- the skin is headed into a CS2 contract as an input.
