Description

Field-Tested (FT) on the Glock-18 | Ghost Protocol is a sensible way into the most expensive skin in its collection. The float scale here is 0.15–0.38. It is a Covert skin in The Spy Tech Collection, which has never had a case. Of the collection's two Covert skins, this one is noticeably the more expensive.

What the Glock-18 | Ghost Protocol looks like in Field-Tested

The whole pistol is red, but the paint is applied with varying gloss: some areas are matte, others catch the light. There is no artwork as such, and the shape reads through the change in shine. In FT the wear shows as lost gloss on the exposed parts of the slide and frame. The color barely changes, so from a distance the pistol looks the way it does in the higher wears. The difference shows only on inspection, at an angle to the light.

What to check before buying

Only two things matter on the Glock-18 | Ghost Protocol:

  • float: here it reads from the gloss, not from chipped paint;

  • the name tag and stickers of the previous owner.

The pattern on this skin is not rolled in CS2, and all copies are the same, so hunting for a rare one is pointless.

The 0.15–0.38 band is wide: the wear label is the same, but the listings differ in condition.

What the Glock-18 | Ghost Protocol costs in Field-Tested

Prices by wear spread out like this:

  • Factory New is about triple the price;

  • Minimal Wear sits about one and a half times higher;

  • Well-Worn is cheaper by only a few percent;

  • Battle-Scarred loses about a quarter of the price.

There is no reason to buy Well-Worn here: you pay almost the same and get less gloss. Either take Field-Tested or go straight to the lower wear, where the discount is real.

Getting the Glock-18 | Ghost Protocol

The Glock-18 | Ghost Protocol has never dropped from a case: The Spy Tech Collection was never in a case, not once. Its release date is July 8, 2026.

So the pistol can only be built through a trade-up contract. Ten skins of the same rank go into the contract, and it returns one skin a step higher. The game takes ten Classified skins and gives one Covert skin in return. The collection has two Classified skins, the M4A1-S | Fatal Glitch and the USP-S | Spiral Glitch. It has two Covert skins as well, so you get either this Glock or the AK-47 | AUTOEXEC, a 50-50 chance.

It is worth doing the math on such a trade-up beforehand. Ten Classified skins cost noticeably less than a finished Ghost Protocol, but half the attempts end in the AUTOEXEC, which is worth several times less. The wear of the result is inherited from the skins put in.

StatTrak and Souvenir

Stickers and craft on the Glock-18 | Ghost Protocol

No StatTrak version of the Glock-18 | Ghost Protocol was released. There were no Souvenir packages for this finish either: those were made only for tournament map collections. But you can build a souvenir copy yourself: the Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from your inventory. That is why a few souvenir copies turn up now and then even where no packages ever existed.

A flat red body is a clean base, and any sticker shows on it. White and silver read best, and black gives a stern contrast. Red and orange vanish against this background. The pistol is expensive, so for a costly build it makes more sense to use the clean wears than Field-Tested.

Who this wear suits

The Glock-18 | Ghost Protocol is worth buying in this wear in three cases:

  • you want a top Glock for CS2 and do not want to pay extra for cleanliness;

  • you are putting together a set in red tones, where the pistol holds the color;

  • you want the skin to be visible in the pistol round, not just in the inventory.

One drawback: the difference between FT and the higher wears shows only up close, yet people pay a lot for it. If the skin is for display, go straight to Minimal Wear.
