For the Glock-18 | Glockingbird, Battle-Scarred (BS) runs into a ceiling. The float of this finish ends at 0.67, and the last band of the scale is cut off with it. The rank is Restricted, the skin belongs to The Boreal Collection, and no case holds it. In CS2 it is the cheapest of the five wears of the green Glock with birds.

What the Glock-18 | Glockingbird looks like in Battle-Scarred

The slide is dark green, with pale gray flowers scattered along the side and bird silhouettes reading among them. A yellow arc runs over the top, and two more areas are yellow, at the muzzle and at the bottom of the grip, both with a fine check. The frame is gray-olive, as it left the factory. Valve describes the finish as a silver mockingbird on a green and yellow base.

On listings with this much wear, the scuffs already lie on the slide edge and on the yellow grip pad, and the artwork breaks off there. The floral composition fills the flat side of the slide, so the wear shows at once, with no need to look closely.

Where the Glock-18 | Glockingbird came from

The finish came out of Valve, not the Steam Workshop, and sits in Valve's catalog under number 1282. Its release date is March 31, 2025. In the note for that update Valve reported three new collections added to the weekly reward list: Ascent, Boreal and Radiant.

What to check before buying

These are worth comparing when choosing:

• the float: in this wear it is the stretch 0.45 to 0.67, a third of the skin's scale;


• a previous owner's stickers and any name tag;


• the yellow pad on the grip and the slide edges.

Here the number deserves more attention than the wear label, because the band of 0.45 to 0.67 is wide. Copies differ only in wear, since they share one artwork.

What the Glock-18 | Glockingbird costs in Battle-Scarred

Factory New is dearer than this wear by more than five times, and Minimal Wear by two and a half. Field-Tested and Well-Worn cost only slightly more, by 14 and 12 percent.

Among Restricted Glock-18 skins in this wear, only two are cheaper: Glock-18 | Block-18 and Glock-18 | Umbral Rabbit. The nearest above, Glock-18 | Trace Lock and Glock-18 | Moonrise, cost one and a half times as much, and Glock-18 | Weasel twice as much.

The flat green-gray side of the slide leaves room for stickers in CS2, but the floral ornament argues with busy ones. White, silver and dark stickers sit calmly, since they do not overpower the birds. The yellow areas are best left free.

Take Battle-Scarred in these situations:

• the skin is bought for stickers, not for flawless paint;
