Description

Field-Tested (FT) is the working middle of the Glock-18 | Moonrise scale: the night city on the slide is intact, while the edges have already begun to lighten. Float for the pistol in this grade runs from 0.15 to 0.38. The rank is Restricted, and the Glock drops from the Clutch Case.

What the Glock-18 | Moonrise looks like in Field-Tested

The slide is flooded with violet that shades into lilac and pink, and a panorama of a night city is drawn across it. Tower silhouettes stand out nearly black and can be told apart one by one, with a pale yellow moon above them by the rear sight. Frame and grip carry no paint at all, leaving the factory gray-olive plastic. At the muzzle the violet is noticeably lighter than at the rear sight.

In this grade the slide edge and the serrations lighten first, and the city line breaks there. For this finish the float number says more than the grade name, since 0.15 to 0.38 covers several different looks. The scale of the finish itself stops at 0.65, so the pistol never reaches the bottom of the usual range.

Where the Glock-18 | Moonrise came from

The finish is the work of MGBazz, and Valve lists the pattern as number 694. The Clutch Collection arrived on February 14, 2018. Valve's item description states the scene plainly: a randomly generated cityscape in the foreground, a full moon and a violet sky behind it. The same text tells the player to look for the North Star.

Pattern and how it varies

The skyline on the slide is assembled from the pattern index, and Valve's own description calls it random. Two copies with the same float differ in layout. In one the towers stand denser; in another more violet sky shows between them, and the moon shifts relative to the rear sight. For price this is the second factor after wear, and it has to be judged from the listing image in CS2.

What to check before buying

From one listing to the next the pistol changes in:

  • float inside 0.15 to 0.38: at 0.15 the city line is whole, at 0.38 it is broken along the edge;

  • the layout of the towers and where the moon falls on that particular copy;

  • the name tag and the stickers the Glock already wears.

What the Glock-18 | Moonrise costs in Field-Tested

Factory New costs three times more, Minimal Wear about two thirds more. Below this grade the price does not fall but climbs: Well-Worn asks around a fifth more and Battle-Scarred around a twentieth. Of the five grades Field-Tested is the cheapest this Glock has, though the gaps run to a few cents.

Among Restricted Glocks the finish is fourth from the bottom on price out of sixteen. Only Glock-18 | Umbral Rabbit, Glock-18 | Block-18 and Glock-18 | Glockingbird cost less. Glock-18 | Trace Lock stands immediately above, and the top of the rank belongs to Glock-18 | Franklin and Glock-18 | Synth Leaf.

Getting the Glock-18 | Moonrise

The Clutch Case is where the pistol drops, and the finish was never put into another set.

The second road to it is a trade-up: ten skins one rank below. Five Restricted skins sit in the set, so with all ten from it the odds on this Glock are one in five.

StatTrak and Souvenir

Stickers and craft on the Glock-18 | Moonrise

The Glock-18 | Moonrise has a StatTrak version. Souvenir copies of the finish turn up as well, though no Souvenir packages were ever made for it: packages only ever covered tournament map collections. Those copies are built with the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a normal skin from the inventory.

Only the slide works for stickers. Frame and grip are unpainted, and anything placed there looks accidental. White and yellow logos read on the violet field, while blue and dark ones drown in the sky and the building silhouettes. A large sticker covers the moon, so the spot for it is picked closer to the ejection port.

Who this wear suits

Buying the Glock-18 | Moonrise right here is sensible if:

  • a colored starting pistol for CS2 is wanted for little money;

  • the city panorama has to read from end to end;

  • the skyline layout is being chosen by eye, from the listing image.

Clean grades of this finish cost noticeably more, while Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred both look worse and ask more.
