Description

Battle-Scarred (BS) is the most affordable version of the toxic-green Glock-18 | Nuclear Garden. The wear is assigned a float of 0.45 to 0.70. The finish's float scale is cut off at 0.70, so Battle-Scarred takes 36% of its length. It is a Restricted rank finish with no ordinary case: copies come from tournament Souvenir packages for the Nuke map.

What the Glock-18 | Nuclear Garden looks like in Battle-Scarred

The slide carries the whole finish. It is toxic green, with yellow areas and dark green, nearly black splotches. The edges of the splotches are ragged and splattered, and the serrations are painted along with the rest. The paint is lighter at the muzzle and darker toward the rear sight. The muzzle end is yellow, while the frame and the magazine stay gray-olive, as from the factory.

Wear is at its strongest here. The slide edge and the serrations give way first, with the bright green gone from them down to metal. Valve describes the finish in one line: a neon-green pattern on the slide.

Where the Glock-18 | Nuclear Garden came from

The Glock-18 | Nuclear Garden has no Workshop submission: the finish was drawn inside Valve. The skin belongs to the 2018 Nuke Collection, which came out in September 2018. In the Valve catalog the artwork has the number 789.

What to check before buying

Copies of the Glock-18 | Nuclear Garden differ from one another in these ways:

  • float: between 0.45 and 0.70 lie copies with different degrees of slide wear;

  • the placement of the splotches on the slide, which on this skin changes from copy to copy;

  • stickers and a name tag: on this Glock they go with the listing.

The finish is randomized: the pattern index changes where the colored patches sit on the body. There are no named phases, so you compare the listing's picture itself. Between 0.45 and 0.70 there is enough difference to justify comparing several listings.

What the Glock-18 | Nuclear Garden costs in Battle-Scarred

Of the skin's wears, this one costs least. Factory New costs twenty-plus times as much, Minimal Wear almost three times as much, and Well-Worn a quarter more. Field-Tested costs a few percent more.

Among Restricted Glocks the finish stands seventh from the bottom of thirteen. Directly above are Glock-18 | Ifrit Lattice and Glock-18 | Royal Legion, and below is Glock-18 | Weasel. The top of the rank is Glock-18 | Synth Leaf, hundreds of times dearer.

Getting the Glock-18 | Nuclear Garden

You will not find this skin in cases: it comes from Nuke Souvenir packages, beginning with the London 2018 Nuke Souvenir Package. For this skin a trade-up asks for ten skins one rank down. If the ten come from The 2018 Nuke Collection, the chance of getting it is one in three.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The Glock-18 | Nuclear Garden has no StatTrak version, but a Souvenir version exists.

Stickers and craft on the Glock-18 | Nuclear Garden

The frame and the magazine are gray-olive and free of artwork. White and cool-toned stickers read well there. On the slide, yellow and lime stickers get lost in the green.

Who this wear suits

Battle-Scarred on the Glock-18 | Nuclear Garden is worth buying when:

  • you want a toxic-green Glock for CS2 at the lowest price of the finish;

  • choosing by pattern matters, since the splotches lie differently on each copy;

  • a worn slide does not bother you.
