Description

This is the Glock-18 | Vogue in Field-Tested (FT), and the big eyes on the slide are still whole here: only small things are rubbed off along the edges. It is Classified rank, and the Glock drops from the Fracture Case. The Glock-18 | Vogue is done in a pop-art spirit: a pair of eyes across the whole side of the slide.

What the Glock-18 | Vogue looks like in Field-Tested

The slide is red-crimson, with orange-yellow rays fanning out from it, and eyes drawn over the rays: blue irises, black lashes, white highlights. The frame and grip are violet-purple fading to dark, the trigger guard is pink-crimson, and there is a pink ring at the muzzle.

The whole pistol is painted, with almost no bare metal. On the lower part of the slide sits a small two-line inscription, whose text cannot be made out even up close, and thin black outlines run along the slide edge.

In Field-Tested the first things to go are that inscription, the outlines and the pink ring at the muzzle, while the violet grip dulls where the hand holds it. The eyes lie on the flat side and are recognizable in every wear, so even a worn Glock-18 | Vogue reads as the finish as intended.

Where the Glock-18 | Vogue came from

The finish was made by KASI, an author from the Steam Workshop. He put the submission up on July 20, 2018, under the title "Glock-18 | Eye Contact". By his account, he drew the eyes from his girlfriend, as a birthday present. The author built the theme from pop art and vaporwave.

The idea explains the composition too. The pistol works at a range where you can see the white of the opponent's eye, so eye contact has to be kept up close. The Fracture Collection is dated August 6, 2020, and the finish's number in Valve's catalog is 963.

What to check before buying

On the Glock-18 | Vogue, look at three things:

  • the float: the wear here lies between 0.15 and 0.38;

  • the state of the small inscription and the black outlines on the slide, which vanish first;

  • a name tag and stickers already applied to the listing.

Every copy carries identical artwork. In this wear the Glock-18 | Vogue fits both 0.15 and 0.38, and such listings look different.

What the Glock-18 | Vogue costs in Field-Tested

Factory New costs nearly three times as much, Minimal Wear one and a half times. Downward the price does not go at all: Well-Worn costs slightly more than Field-Tested, and Battle-Scarred is cheaper by a few percent.

Seven Classified Glock-18 skins have a price in this wear, and the Vogue is the cheapest of them. The Shinobu and the Glock-18 | Mirror Mosaic cost about a third more, the Glock-18 | Water Elemental more than five times as much. The most expensive Classified finish on the model, the Glock-18 | Twilight Galaxy, costs more than sixty times the Vogue.

Getting the Glock-18 | Vogue

The main source is the Fracture Case, and no other case holds this finish. The Glock-18 | Vogue also comes from a trade-up: ten skins of the rank below from one set go into the contract. The set has three Classified skins, so the chance of landing on the Vogue is one in three.

StatTrak and Souvenir

Stickers and craft on the Glock-18 | Vogue

The Glock-18 | Vogue has a StatTrak™ version. Souvenir copies of the finish exist too, but no packages were ever released for it: they were made only for the map collections of tournaments. Such copies are built through the Souvenir-O-Matic, which puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on an ordinary skin from your inventory.

The background is bright and filled edge to edge, so a sticker on the slide argues with the eyes. Room for stickers remains on the frame and under the slide, and on the crimson and violet, white and black stickers look best. This finish limits a craft in CS2 hard: the busy slide tolerates only quiet stickers.

Who this wear suits

This wear of the Glock-18 | Vogue makes sense under these conditions:

  • you want a bright Glock for CS2 without paying three times as much for Factory New;

  • the eyes on the slide matter more than the small inscription, which is already gone in this wear;

  • you pick the listing by float: the slide edges at 0.15 and at 0.38 look different.

There is no point going lower: Well-Worn costs more, and Battle-Scarred is cheaper by only a few percent.
