M4A1-S | Mud-Spec (Factory New)

The M4A1-S | Mud-Spec in Factory New (FN) is a dark swamp camouflage across the suppressor and receiver. It is an Industrial Grade skin from The Anubis Collection and comes out of the Anubis Collection Package. In this wear it costs more than any other wear of the skin, but within its rank it sits closer to the bottom on price.

What the M4A1-S | Mud-Spec looks like in Factory New

The camouflage is dark and glossy. The background is dark olive and brown, and the blotches are lighter, a sandy gold with soft blurred edges. The pattern runs along the suppressor, handguard, receiver and stock, following the shape of each part.

The barrel and grip are black. There are no inscriptions or designs. Wear is fixed at drop, and in Factory New the glossy paint lies even, with no scuffs.

Where the M4A1-S | Mud-Spec came from

The Anubis Collection came out in April 2023. In its release notes Valve called it a set of 19 skins tied thematically to the new map in the Active Duty pool. The M4A1-S | Mud-Spec arrived with it.

A trade-up contract yields the M4A1-S | Mud-Spec: you put in ten skins one rank lower from the same collection. It also comes out of the Anubis Collection Package and from tournament souvenir packages, for example the Paris 2023 Anubis Souvenir Package.

There is no StatTrak™ version of this skin. A Souvenir version exists: tournament packages with the Anubis collection hand it out.

Stickers and craft on the M4A1-S | Mud-Spec

Soft blurred blotches do not get in the way of a sticker, and the dark background makes light stickers bright. Gold and sand logos merge into the blotches. The suppressor and barrel are clean, so they suit a craft built on contrast.

Who this wear suits

Buying the M4A1-S | Mud-Spec in Factory New makes sense if:

• you want an M4A1-S for CS2 in dark swamp camouflage with no signs of wear;


• an even gloss under light stickers matters;


• the skin is for a loadout in brown and olive tones.
