M4A1-S | Player Two (Field-Tested)

For the M4A1-S | Player Two, Field-Tested (FT) sits almost level with Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, within a few percent of both. The graffiti covers the rifle entirely, so wear hides inside the artwork itself. The wear runs from 0.15 to 0.38 on the float scale. It is a Covert rank skin that drops from the Prisma 2 Case.

What the M4A1-S | Player Two looks like in Field-Tested

It is a motley graffiti: teal and orange-red fills, with tags and cartoon characters over them. The suppressor is orange-red with pink blotches and a teal front third. The barrel and handguard are teal-blue with white strokes, and the receiver is a dense collage of blue, orange, yellow and white. The stock is orange-red, and the magazine is orange and white with cartoon figures.

Everything is painted, suppressor and barrel included; only the carry handle and the handguard rings stayed dark. The main element is a yellow character with a mask for a face, on the right side of the receiver. The letters in the tag and in the lettering on the stock cannot be made out.

In Field-Tested the thin white strokes on the round barrel and suppressor vanish first. After them the receiver edges, the handguard rings and the corners of the stock give way. The large fills and the character itself on the flat side last longest.

Where the M4A1-S | Player Two came from

The finish is by kadzor, who publishes on the Steam Workshop. He posted the submission, "CS20 | 2048 (Player Two)", on October 5, 2019. The author called the work a cyberpunk love letter to CS:GO skins. The body brings together a cartoon GIGN operator and the canonical "POP DOG": the team goes for the win while the dog spins around underfoot.

The Prisma 2 Collection was added to the game on March 31, 2020. The finish is number 946 in Valve's catalog.

What to check before buying

Compare these on M4A1-S | Player Two listings:

• the float: at 0.15 the white strokes on the barrel are intact, at 0.38 little is left of them;


• the handguard rings and receiver edges, where the artwork breaks first;


• stickers and a name tag, which transfer with the listing.

Every listing shows the same pattern. The choice to make here is inside 0.15 to 0.38: the difference between the top and the bottom of the band is visible.

What the M4A1-S | Player Two costs in Field-Tested

The four lower grades sit almost level: Minimal Wear is dearer by a few percent, while Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred are cheaper by about as much. Individual listings decide the order among these four grades. Only Factory New stands apart: it is dearer by almost three times.

Among Covert M4A1-S skins this finish is second from the bottom of ten in this grade. Only M4A1-S | Vaporwave costs less. Right above comes M4A1-S | Golden Coil, and then a gap: M4A1-S | Mecha Industries, M4A1-S | Chantico's Fire and M4A1-S | Hyper Beast are more than twice as dear. The top of the rank belongs to M4A1-S | Welcome to the Jungle.

Getting the M4A1-S | Player Two

The skin drops from the Prisma 2 Case, the only case with this finish.

To trade up into the M4A1-S | Player Two you need ten skins one rank down from this collection. The Prisma 2 Collection has two Covert finishes, so the odds are one in two. The Covert rank also feeds a knife craft: from Prisma 2 come the Navaja Knife, Stiletto Knife, Talon Knife and Ursus Knife.

StatTrak and Souvenir

Stickers and craft on the M4A1-S | Player Two

The M4A1-S | Player Two has a StatTrak version. No Souvenir packages were ever made for this finish, because packages only ever covered tournament map collections. A souvenir copy can still be built by hand. The Souvenir-O-Matic puts gold tournament stickers and a player autograph on a normal skin from the inventory. That is why the odd souvenir copy turns up where no package was ever made.

The base here is noisy: on a collage of tags and characters a single sticker gets lost. Light stickers read better than colored ones on the orange-red stock, and the teal handguard is calmer than the rest of the rifle.

Who this wear suits

Field-Tested on the M4A1-S | Player Two is worth buying if:

• you want a bright M4A1-S for CS2 at the lowest price in the rank;


• it suits you that wear hardly reads on a motley graffiti;


• you see no point paying extra for Factory New: the artwork is the same there.

The white strokes on the barrel and suppressor almost vanish by 0.38. If they matter to you, look for a listing closer to 0.15: in CS2 at a distance the difference is not visible.
