What the M4A4 | Etch Lord looks like in Field-Tested
The M4A4 | Etch Lord in Field-Tested (FT) is the middle of the finish's scale: a float from 0.15 to 0.38, which is 23% of the full length. Restricted rank, sourced from the Kilowatt Case. In CS2 it stays a black rifle with engraving in this wear, and inside this band listings already differ visibly.
Where the M4A4 | Etch Lord came from
The base tone is dark: black-gray metal on the receiver, barrel, rail and stock. The engraving runs in light gray curls across the top and sides of the receiver and around the magazine window. The main mass of the weave is gathered on the right side. The handguard and pistol grip are factory gray-olive plastic without any pattern. The magazine of dark translucent polymer is decorated with an orange checkered mesh. Lower down it carries blue patches and a red-blue squiggle like a tag that cannot be read.
You can buy the M4A4 | Etch Lord with a float from 0.15 to 0.38. The closer to the lower boundary, the more intact the pale web of lines on the receiver ribs; closer to the upper one, the ribs and the area by the bolt catch button are lighter. The dark background masks part of the scuffing.
What to check before buying
The finish's author is HEWOK; in the Steam Workshop his work was listed as "M4A4 | Snakebite V2" (submitted November 6, 2023). He left the description short: "PBR correct". Valve presented the Kilowatt as a case with seventeen finishes from community authors, with a kukri knife as a rare special item. The Kilowatt Collection was released on February 6, 2024, and the M4A4 | Etch Lord has been in the set since its launch. The finish's number in the Valve catalog is 1165.
What the M4A4 | Etch Lord costs in Field-Tested
In an M4A4 | Etch Lord listing, check these parameters:
- float: in this wear the M4A4 | Etch Lord fits both 0.15 and 0.38, and those listings look different;
- the receiver ribs and the magazine window, where the pale engraving thins out first;
- stickers from a previous owner and a rename of the M4A4 | Etch Lord.
The pattern on the M4A4 | Etch Lord is not rolled: all copies are the same, and the difference is only in wear.
Getting the M4A4 | Etch Lord
Factory New costs almost nine times as much, Minimal Wear about twice. Well-Worn is a seventh cheaper, Battle-Scarred a tenth. In this wear the Etch Lord is the cheapest of the Restricted M4A4s in the Kilowatt line-up. M4A4 | Sheet Lightning costs more, followed by M4A4 | Evil Daimyo and M4A4 | Griffin, and M4A4 | Spider Lily costs more than twenty times as much.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The principal route is a Kilowatt Case drop. For a contract on the M4A4 | Etch Lord you assemble ten skins one step down, Mil-Spec, from any collections. The result comes from the set of one of the inputs; ten entirely from the Kilowatt send the outcome to that set.
Stickers and craft on the M4A4 | Etch Lord
The skin has StatTrak and no Souvenir packages.
Who this wear suits
The engraving occupies only the metal of the receiver, and the handguard, grip and stock are free of artwork. So stickers lie on a calm background and do not argue with the weave.
Field-Tested is worth considering for the M4A4 | Etch Lord if:
- you need a balance between price and intact engraving on the receiver;
- you are ready to choose within the 0.15 to 0.38 band by the look of the ribs, not by one number;
- you need a base for stickers on dark metal.
