Description

What the M4A4 | Etch Lord looks like in Minimal Wear

The M4A4 | Etch Lord in Minimal Wear (MW) has a float of just 0.07 to 0.15, 8% of the whole scale. It is Restricted and dropped from the Kilowatt Case. In CS2 this rifle sits closer to factory condition than in the lower wears, and its price remains the lowest among Restricted M4A4s in the same wear.

Where the M4A4 | Etch Lord came from

The finish is built on contrast: black metal on the receiver, barrel and rail against pale engraved lines and the factory gray-olive plastic of the handguard and grip. The curls gather into a dense weave on the right side of the receiver, run along the top, and go around the magazine window. The magazine itself is dark polymer through which an orange checkered mesh shows, with blue patches in the lower part.

The float range of the M4A4 | Etch Lord in this wear is 0.07 to 0.15. At such a float the lines on the ribs of the receiver are almost intact, and the dark tone hides small marks on top of that. The engraving is made of very fine strokes, so how well it reads depends on the metal edges, not the flat planes.

What to check before buying

HEWOK stands behind the finish: the submission "M4A4 | Snakebite V2" appeared in the Workshop on November 6, 2023, with a single note, "PBR correct". The M4A4 | Etch Lord entered the game on February 6, 2024, together with the Kilowatt Case. In Valve's entry the case holds seventeen community finishes and a kukri knife as a rare special item. The finish's catalog number is 1165.

What the M4A4 | Etch Lord costs in Minimal Wear

Before buying, check the following:

  • float: the spread of 0.07 to 0.15 is so small that picking by number is pointless;

  • what the previous owner left on the M4A4 | Etch Lord, meaning stickers and a name tag;

  • the condition of the receiver ribs in the listing screenshots.

Hunting for the M4A4 | Etch Lord by pattern index is pointless: the artwork does not change.

Getting the M4A4 | Etch Lord

Factory New costs a little over four times as much. All three wears below are cheaper: Field-Tested by half, Battle-Scarred by a little over a factor of two, Well-Worn by a factor of two and a half. Among Restricted M4A4s in Minimal Wear the Etch Lord is the cheapest. Above it come M4A4 | Sheet Lightning, M4A4 | Evil Daimyo and M4A4 | Griffin, and the priciest in the row is M4A4 | Daybreak.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The case that drops the skin is the Kilowatt Case. The second way to the M4A4 | Etch Lord is a trade-up: hand in ten skins of the rank below, Mil-Spec, from anywhere. The outcome is drawn from the set that one of the inputs belongs to. Ten skins entirely from the Kilowatt steer the outcome there, though that is not a requirement.

Stickers and craft on the M4A4 | Etch Lord

A StatTrak version exists; the skin has no Souvenir version.

Who this wear suits

On an almost clean black receiver stickers read distinctly, and you can pick them to match the orange mesh of the magazine. The artwork on the metal stays fine, so it does not compete with applied details.

Minimal Wear is justified for the M4A4 | Etch Lord when:

  • you want a nearly factory look without the Factory New price;

  • the ribs of the receiver should stay light and even;

  • you want a finish in which listings are practically indistinguishable, so there is no time lost on comparing.
