What the M4A4 | Griffin looks like in Well-Worn

A griffin is drawn on the gray-green base: a white head and copper and rusty-orange wings on the side of the receiver. The same orange marks sit on the handguard. A turquoise glow shows at the bottom of the magazine. There is no lettering.

In Well-Worn the paint has already worn off the edges, and gray metal shows at the corners of the receiver, the stock and the barrel shroud. The artwork remains distinguishable as a whole. Wear is fixed at the drop, and the skin does not change over time.

Where the M4A4 | Griffin came from

The game opened The Vanguard Collection on November 12, 2014, and the M4A4 | Griffin was there from day one. Valve tied the launch to Operation Vanguard, which brought six community maps and a campaign with rewards for missions.

The skin drops from the Operation Vanguard Weapon Case; there are no other cases.

Whoever prefers a trade-up puts ten skins of the rank below into the contract, from any collections. The collection of the result is determined by the inputs. Ten Vanguard skins lead to the collection's four Restricted skins, and the rifle comes out with a one-in-four chance.

StatTrak and Souvenir

A StatTrak version of the M4A4 | Griffin exists. The finish never had Souvenir packages, which were made only for tournament map collections, but a Souvenir copy can be built through the Souvenir-O-Matic.

Stickers and craft on the M4A4 | Griffin

The free field is the dark handguard and stock, where there is no artwork. White and turquoise stickers show well on them. It is better not to cover the griffin on the side: it is the only bright element.

Who this wear suits

A Well-Worn M4A4 | Griffin makes sense when:

• you want a griffin M4 for CS2 that is cleaner than Battle-Scarred;


• scuffed edges are acceptable, but the griffin's silhouette must read;
