M4A4 | Magnesium (Field-Tested)

The M4A4 | Magnesium in Field-Tested (FT) has a float band of 0.15 to 0.38. It is a Mil-Spec skin from The Danger Zone Collection: a gray rifle that the Danger Zone Case hands out.

What the M4A4 | Magnesium looks like in Field-Tested

The rifle is nearly monochrome gray, with no pattern. Dark gray covers the receiver and stock, the handguard is lighter and more matte, and the magazine is gray-beige. Reddish-pink stripes peek out along the lower edge of the handguard and at the base of the stock.

There is a single accent: the diamond-shaped checkering on the handguard, plus red threads along the edges. Small technical markings sit on the receiver, and a red dot marks the fire selector.

The Field-Tested band is wide, 23% of the skin's scale. The gray coating on the edges of the handguard and receiver looks rubbed, without chips. On a copy near 0.38 the scuffing shows more than on a copy near 0.15.

Where the M4A4 | Magnesium came from

The Danger Zone Collection was added to the game on December 7, 2018, and the M4A4 | Magnesium arrived in the same update. Valve launched the Danger Zone Case then too, with seventeen community finishes.

What to check before buying

Cases are the way in: the Danger Zone Case drops it. A trade-up cannot produce it, because nothing ranks lower in The Danger Zone Collection.

The M4A4 | Magnesium has a StatTrak version. Ready-made Souvenir packages do not exist, yet the Souvenir-O-Matic can turn a copy into a Souvenir one.

Stickers and craft on the M4A4 | Magnesium

The gray body has no artwork to argue with a sticker, so in CS2 any palette works here. Light stickers show on the dark receiver and stock, and dark ones look better on the handguard. The rubbed edges do not get in the way: in Field-Tested they do not cover large stickers.

Who this wear suits

Field-Tested on the M4A4 | Magnesium makes sense when:

• you want a gray rifle for CS2 priced in the lower half of its row;


• a look with no pattern and no chips is fine, and you do not need the cleanliness of Factory New;
