M4A4 | Sheet Lightning (Field-Tested)

Field-Tested (FT) on the M4A4 | Sheet Lightning is the middle wear, on a scale where Factory New takes only seven hundredths. The skin is Restricted, from The Boreal Collection, and FT is given the band 0.15 to 0.38, almost a third of the finish's whole scale.

What the M4A4 | Sheet Lightning looks like in Field-Tested

The finish is built on a contrast of two colors. The golden-orange handguard, carry handle, grip and magazine sit beside a charcoal-gray receiver and stock. Streaks like sheet lightning run across the dark part, and an orange inscription shows on the receiver.

In Field-Tested the paint already carries signs of service: scuffs and scratches read, but the artwork does not disappear. Near the bottom of the band the metal is almost clean, and near the top the wear is more obvious.

Where the M4A4 | Sheet Lightning came from

The skin was released on March 31, 2025, together with The Boreal Collection. In the update note Valve named that collection next to Ascent and Radiant: all three went onto the weekly reward list.

What to check before buying

The choice of a particular copy rests on two points:

• the float: this wear holds both 0.15 and 0.38, and listings at the two ends look different;

• whether stickers and a name tag are on the rifle.

There is no choosing by pattern here: the lightning is identical on all copies.

What the M4A4 | Sheet Lightning costs in Field-Tested

Measured against Field-Tested, the rest of the wears sit like this:

• Factory New: about six times higher;

• Minimal Wear: almost three times higher;

• Well-Worn: 1.15 times higher;

• Battle-Scarred: 1.16 times lower.

Of the Restricted M4A4s, only the M4A4 | Etch Lord is cheaper than this skin. Above it in price come the M4A4 | Griffin and the M4A4 | Evil Daimyo, while the M4A4 | Spider Lily costs several times more. The top of the line belongs to the M4A4 | Modern Hunter and the M4A4 | Daybreak.

Getting the M4A4 | Sheet Lightning

Cases never drop this skin. The Boreal Collection is on Valve's weekly reward list for playtime.

A trade-up also yields it: ten skins of the rank below go in, and the skin that comes out is taken from the collection of one of the inputs. Put in all ten from The Boreal Collection and the result is pointed at that set. Among its Mil-Spec skins are, for example, AK-47 | Wintergreen and USP-S | Tropical Breeze.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The M4A4 | Sheet Lightning has no StatTrak version. No souvenir packages contain it, but a Souvenir copy can be built through the Souvenir-O-Matic.

Stickers and craft on the M4A4 | Sheet Lightning

The dark body is a good backdrop for light and golden stickers. Gold ones repeat the color of the handguard and magazine, while black ones get lost on the charcoal parts.

Who this wear suits

Field-Tested fits you if:

• an M4A4 for CS2 is wanted with the lightning visible, but without paying extra for the top wears;

• you want to pick the float inside the wide band of 0.15 to 0.38 and take a cleaner copy;

• you are putting together a set with gold stickers on a dark base.
