On the MAC-10 | Derailment, Field-Tested (FT) takes a float band from 0.15 to 0.38, or 33% of the finish scale. This is a Restricted MAC-10 from The Train 2025 Collection. It has no regular case, and copies come from tournament Souvenir packages.
What the MAC-10 | Derailment looks like in Field-Tested
The skin is built like train-car graffiti. The upper receiver is turquoise-blue with white and black zebra strokes and an orange-yellow flash on the right. The magazine is assembled from red, blue, yellow and white rectangles. In them you can make out train cars and trams with windows, and a yellow sign with an exclamation mark. The strap is dark burgundy, and the ring at the muzzle is red.
The artwork covers the receiver, the side, the strap and the magazine. Higher up, on a dark violet background, an overturned turquoise-and-white train is drawn. Wear in this band is set by the listing's float and fixed at drop. The closer the number to 0.38, the more scuffs lie over the busy artwork.
Where the MAC-10 | Derailment came from
The Train 2025 Collection, with this skin in it, came out on March 31, 2025. The MAC-10 | Derailment arrived in the same update. Valve's note names only the collection itself and gives no details about the finish.
What to check before buying
On the MAC-10 | Derailment, two things change from listing to listing:
- float: the band of 0.15 to 0.38 is long, and listings from opposite edges look different;
- any name tag or stickers already applied to the lot.
The artwork on the MAC-10 | Derailment is applied identically across the whole run. Here the band runs long, from 0.15 to 0.38, so it pays to compare several listings.
What the MAC-10 | Derailment costs in Field-Tested
Next to Field-Tested, the other wears price out like this:
- Factory New runs about five times higher;
- Minimal Wear runs about two and a half times higher;
- Well-Worn is almost level, a little higher;
- Battle-Scarred is only slightly cheaper.
Among the sixteen Restricted MAC-10 skins, this one sits in the middle: seven are cheaper and eight cost more. Malachite costs a little more. Last Dive, Saibā Oni, Sakkaku and Cat Fight are cheaper, the last two by almost a factor of three. At the top are Case Hardened, Gold Brick and Red Filigree, and at the bottom Allure, Button Masher and Pipe Down.
Getting the MAC-10 | Derailment
The skin has no case. That leaves tournament Souvenir packages, for example the Budapest 2025 Train Souvenir Package, and the trade-up. You can build the MAC-10 | Derailment by trade-up: it takes ten skins one rank lower from the collection.
StatTrak and Souvenir
The skin has no StatTrak version. Souvenir packages with it exist, and a Souvenir copy can be made without a package through the Souvenir-O-Matic.
Stickers and craft on the MAC-10 | Derailment
The background of the skin is busy and dark in places, so stickers compete with the artwork. Single-color, high-contrast stickers read on the turquoise receiver, while thin lettering sinks among the zebra strokes. Since the listing already carries wear, the scuffs on the magazine stay in view, and stickers in dense color suit them best.
Who this wear suits
Buying the MAC-10 | Derailment in Field-Tested makes sense in these situations:
- you want a MAC-10 for CS2 with train graffiti, and clean paint is not critical;
- you like comparing several listings by float and picking the best-kept one from the 0.15 to 0.38 band;
- the price gap to Factory New matters: it is roughly fivefold.
