Field-Tested (FT) on the MAG-7 | Copper Coated is a dark shotgun with copper run across it. It is Mil-Spec rank from The Anubis Collection, for the Counter-Terrorist side in CS2. The skin comes from the Anubis Collection Package and the Anubis Souvenir packages. This wear is assigned a float band of 0.15 to 0.38, or 23% of the scale from 0.00 to 1.00.
What the MAG-7 | Copper Coated looks like in Field-Tested
The base is dark gray, almost black, the color of gunmetal. Over it run copper-orange and bronze-brown streaks with a shine. Valve describes the skin as a weapon that has been under a stream of liquid copper.
The copper lies on the upper part of the receiver, the side and the top edge, running down in drips. The handguard and the grip stay evenly gray, and the magazine is almost clean, with only orange streaks at its heel.
Up close you can see the metal tracing the stamped shapes and holes of the receiver and gathering into runs, like poured metal or corrosion. Rivets and small stamped markings can be made out, but the text cannot be read. The dark spots look like oxidation but are built into the artwork. Wear is fixed when the skin drops, and in Field-Tested it is set by the float.
Where the MAG-7 | Copper Coated came from
The skin came out on April 25, 2023, as part of the Anubis collection, which means from the first day of the set's existence.
What to check before buying
In a MAG-7 | Copper Coated listing, check these parameters:
- float: across the span of 0.15 to 0.38 the copper wears away differently on the dark base, so compare listings;
- stickers and name tag already on this copy of the MAG-7 | Copper Coated;
- a souvenir or regular copy: the souvenir one carries gold stickers.
There is no choosing the MAG-7 | Copper Coated by pattern: it is identical across listings.
What the MAG-7 | Copper Coated costs in Field-Tested
Factory New costs 3.28 times as much, and Minimal Wear 2.16 times. Well-Worn is cheaper by 1.2 times, and Battle-Scarred by 1.51 times.
Among fourteen Mil-Spec skins for the MAG-7, in this wear nine are cheaper and four are pricier. Firestarter is above. Below are Sonar, Heaven Guard, Popdog and Cobalt Core. The priciest are Hard Water, Hazard and Counter Terrace, the last tens of times higher.
Getting the MAG-7 | Copper Coated
The sources are the Anubis Collection Package and the Anubis Souvenir packages. For the MAG-7 | Copper Coated, a trade-up asks for ten skins one rank down from the same collection.
StatTrak and Souvenir
There is no StatTrak version of the MAG-7 | Copper Coated. Souvenir copies exist: they were issued in the Anubis tournament packages and are also made through the Souvenir-O-Matic.
Stickers and craft on the MAG-7 | Copper Coated
The copper streaks gather at the top, while the handguard and the grip stay gray. Stickers sit on the flat gray and do not fight the streaks, and the copper color sets the tone for a set in orange and bronze shades.
