MAG-7 | Monster Call (Field-Tested)

The MAG-7 | Monster Call is a Restricted skin from The Fracture Collection in Field-Tested (FT), with a float of 0.15 to 0.38. It is a Counter-Terrorist shotgun with an underwater scene and a green monster. In CS2 this skin reads as a story, not as a pattern. A StatTrak version exists.

What the MAG-7 | Monster Call looks like in Field-Tested

The background is a deep blue-violet with inky shadows. Across a full third of the receiver at the front gapes the mouth of a lime-green monster with white triangular teeth and a yellow-green round eye with a vertical pupil. Farther along the body swim glowing fish and seaweed in green, orange and yellow, among them an orange lure lantern.

The scene unfolds toward the middle, and the stock and grip fade into the dark blue background with small light bubbles. The barrel is black on top. Valve describes a blue background and underwater creatures in the foreground.

The artwork is saturated and cohesive. The 0.15 to 0.38 band is long, so copies from different parts of the range differ in the condition of the paint.

Where the MAG-7 | Monster Call came from

The skin appeared in July 2020 together with The Fracture Collection and the Fracture Case. Valve gave it a caption about a bigger, greener fish.

What to check before buying

When choosing a MAG-7 | Monster Call, look at the following:

• float: across the 0.15 to 0.38 band, the condition of the paint differs between listings;

• a previous owner's stickers and a name tag on the MAG-7 | Monster Call.

You cannot buy a MAG-7 | Monster Call with a "rare" pattern: the artwork is the same on every copy.

What the MAG-7 | Monster Call costs in Field-Tested

Factory New costs 6.6 times as much, and Minimal Wear twice as much. Well-Worn is nine percent cheaper, and Battle-Scarred six percent cheaper. So FT sits closer to the lower wears than to the upper ones.

Among the nine Restricted skins for the MAG-7 in this wear, this skin is the cheapest. The MAG-7 | SWAG-7 costs exactly the same, and the MAG-7 | Petroglyph comes next. At the top of the lineup are the MAG-7 | BI83 Spectrum, the MAG-7 | Bulldozer and the MAG-7 | Prism Terrace.

Getting the MAG-7 | Monster Call

The skin drops from the Fracture Case. A trade-up contract for the MAG-7 | Monster Call consists of ten skins one rank below from one collection.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The MAG-7 | Monster Call has a StatTrak version. There are no Souvenir packages for this skin.

Stickers and craft on the MAG-7 | Monster Call

The scene is colorful and dense, and small stickers sink into it. Large, light stickers look better on the dark blue background near the stock. It is better not to cover the mouth on the receiver, since it is the main element of the artwork.
