Description

The MAG-7 | Rust Coat in Minimal Wear (MW) is a shotgun in rusted, etched steel for CS2, on the CT side. Its rank is Consumer Grade, it belongs to The 2018 Inferno Collection, and it has no regular case. The float scale in this wear runs from 0.07 to 0.15.

What the MAG-7 | Rust Coat looks like in Minimal Wear

The metal is dark brown, with gray and orange swirls, and matte. A rusty tone covers the receiver, shroud and barrel. The grip and pad are gray-olive plastic, left in the factory gray, and the magazine is light metal. On the side of the receiver are stamped marks that cannot be read.

The surface is finely speckled and streaked, like oxidized steel. Rust spots, light scuffed edges and dark streaks are part of the artwork itself: the skin is an imitation of wear. The float is still set at drop, and in Minimal Wear it is low.

Where the MAG-7 | Rust Coat came from

Valve describes the MAG-7 as a souvenir from Siege: it works, though its outer surfaces have rusted. The collection is called Inferno 2018, and the skin has been part of it since 2018.

What to check before buying

Before taking a MAG-7 | Rust Coat, look at these points:

  • float: the band of 0.07 to 0.15 is narrow, and copies look alike;

  • a previous owner's stickers and any rename on the MAG-7 | Rust Coat;

  • the version: a Souvenir copy is a separate listing, and the skin has no StatTrak version.

What the MAG-7 | Rust Coat costs in Minimal Wear

Factory New is cheaper by one and a half times. Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred cost the same as Minimal Wear. On a rust-look finish, the top wear earns no premium.

Among the seven Consumer Grade MAG-7 skins in this wear, the Rust Coat is at the very bottom: only Navy Sheen is cheaper. Copper Oxide costs the same, Storm about three times as much, Seabird ten times, and Irradiated Alert almost twenty times, while Sand Dune takes the top of the row.

Getting the MAG-7 | Rust Coat

The skin has no regular case. Copies come out of tournament Souvenir packages for the Inferno map, from the London 2018 Inferno Souvenir Package to the Budapest 2025 Inferno Souvenir Package. A trade-up does not lead to the MAG-7 | Rust Coat: Consumer Grade sits at the very bottom of the Inferno 2018 collection.

StatTrak and Souvenir

The MAG-7 | Rust Coat has no StatTrak version. A Souvenir version exists, and it comes out of the Inferno packages.

Stickers and craft on the MAG-7 | Rust Coat

The surface is mottled, and a small sticker on the receiver merges with the swirls. Large light stickers read better on the dark metal. The gray-olive plastic parts give an even background.

Who this wear suits

The MAG-7 | Rust Coat here, in Minimal Wear, is worth buying under these conditions:

  • you want a shotgun with a rusty texture, not an imitation of paint;

  • the 0.07 to 0.15 band suits you, where copies look alike;

  • you want an inexpensive Consumer Grade skin in CS2 that also works well for stickers.
